Solid conference, 7.5/10. Was very front-loaded similar to Microsoft's.
- Sony's first party lineup continues to be severely lacking. Bend, Polyphony, Santa Monica, Quantic Dream, etc were absent yet again. They've got nothing for this year and none of their future games had release dates either (except for TLG's vague "2016").
- Trifecta was cool, three back-to-back megatons. I don't agree with the hype personally, TLG looked like the PS3 game we've seen years back, FF7 is a PS1 remake that is likely many years away, and Shenmue 3 was simply plugging a damn Kickstarter. Wasn't much substance to these reveals. But it's cool to see the excited reactions from fans of these games, really does read like fan fiction to have all three of those games announced at the same conference. I knew GAF would crash from people losing their minds. Well played Sony.
- Horizon and Uncharted 4 both looked fantastic. These two games were the highlight of the conference for me.
- Dreams seems to be more of a tech demo than a game at this point.
- No Man's Sky developer looked bored of demoing his game for the 100th time and tbh I'm kinda bored of seeing it 100 times. I just want to buy it already. They should've announced a release date at least.
- Firewatch looks really great, I'm probably getting it on PC though.
- Expected this to be the Morpheus coming out party but it had barely any presence at all. It doesn't feel like a product that's coming out in early 2016.
- Rest was all third party multiplats. Destiny, Hitman, AC, CoD, Disney Infinity, Battlefront, Arkham Knight, etc. Sony is going hard on exclusive DLC. The only game I thought demoed well from this bunch was Battlefront, the rest had kind of boring showings imo. The Batman stuff especially felt like a waste of time given how soon it's releasing. Definitely big titles though.
Overall a very solid conference.
