Normally, I don't bother taking a day off to watch E3. But due to my new job rarely giving me downtime and because I want to deal with personal problem, I thought I'd take a day off to enjoy E3.

I was sleeping so woke up to the good news but this is truly a nice time to be gaming.
Now I hope thé FFVII remake will have some modifiers, but that is juste me being picky I am already happy.

I gotta admit I was pretty shocked when I saw FF7 and Shenmue on the big stage...hell I didn't even think TLG was going to show. Then the Horizon and Uncharted trailers, No Mans Sky, Dreams..Damn Sony really put on a show.

Hey i'm not hating on the ps4 they messed me up when the first final fantasy game came on and was saying no way over and over again when ff7 came on. Its just that i know for me i was sold on this console based off of that evil nostalgia marketing for the ps1 that they had when this console was first announced.

Agree 100%. The best conference I have ever seen, at least in terms of megatons, diversity and fan reactions.
I would say c+ but people are flipping out over what looks a fairly standard conference. I personally think BC was the biggest announcement so far this year. Imo of course.

I read an official statement sent to Kotaku by Square Enix and it said coming to Playstation 4 with no mention of any other consoles... can't remember if it mentioned PC though, #TeamKagari.
That may be your opinion but regardless, the takeaway here is Sony listened and delivered on the most wanted games practically. This E3 was quite shocking, literally.

Another reason i love this conf is how well paced the conf gets. Start with The Last Guardian, Horizon then FFVII remake, Shenmue 3 happened and UC4 finished with the strong vibe.
It's great, packed with nostalgia and full of surprise. A++++

SCE imply at least, Sony being the publisher. FF titles are published by SE, Shenmue is a kickstarter game which means Sony is not the publisher.

I was cheering for MS when they announced backward compatibility and then game after game. I didn't think it would be topped.
Then I finished the Sony conference. I'm in tears guys. Literally. Decades of game love, across all the platforms, and Sony megaton'd me in the face with what I thought was impossible. Then again. Then again.
FF7 is my GOAT. Shenmue was a dream from another life. And TLG... My jaded heart had stopped hoping entirely.

The FFVII Remake reveal was glorious, don't get me wrong. But I wasn't particularly impressed by Sony's own output or anything. Then again, a few of the titles others enjoy like Uncharted do little for me. And The Last Guardian looked kinda dated and boring despite it being some huge thing for many.
So yea, just my opinion. Was a good show, but didn't feel overly special.

TLG and FF VII Remake a freaking huge for me!! Also Horizon looked pretty cool! Not really interested in Shenmue 3. I check out gameplay videos of the two predecessors because of the hype on here several times and it looked absolutely terrible. So I really don't know what to expect from this game.

I really got into gaming about over a decade ago.
The Last Guardian's sole existence had been a running joke for the better part of the last decade and we got a gameplay demo.
FF7 remake had been one of top fan requests every single year, but the use of pre-rendered backgrounds and videos made it harder than in case of most other remakes.
Shenmue 3 was a pipe dream. Using KS is kinda scummy, but Shenmue 3 actually exists. People were clamoring for it for the last 15 years, even though deep inside they knew the series is most likely too costly, too ambitious to ever return. Even worse since Shenmue 2 ended on a cliffhanger.
This... there is no comparison. This is a monumental set of games. This is a lineup that you joke about on April 1, knowing it cannot possibly exist. This is as if Dr. Dre's detox, Neon Genesis Evangelion live action remake and Half Life 3 all released on a single day while Mars landing took place. This is an absolute destruction of everyone's expectations.

I thought kickstarter goal was just to gauge interest. Like bloodstained. If it reaches its goal itll get funded i think thats what this tweet means.

Really Horizon was the best announcement. That game looks absolutely amazing and I want to know more as soon as possible.
I'm really happy about the trifecta finally happening too, but not quite as excited now that the hype has died down:
Shenmue 3 is pretty niche and I wasn't really a fan of the first two...but I am happy for the fans nonetheless.
I've already played FF7 before and it seems like it is -very- early days, which is always trouble when we're talking about Square. That said I am very interested to see what is changed or added from the original and I'll probably end up grabbing it.
The Last Guardian looks almost identical to the last time we saw it. I am very excited for it just based on how good the last two games from this team were, but that was a long time ago. I'm still willing to give it the benefit of the doubt for now though.
Overall I am very pleased these 3 games were finally announced (or re-announced) but the best part of this is the pay off to over a decade's worth of hype rather than each of the 3 games actually being something that is going to be huge for PS4. Especially since FF7 and Shenmue 3 are going to be on PC also.

Just got home and watched the whole thing. Holy shit literally the most mind blowing conference. It's like they put together a fantasy list and checked every box. FF7 Remake, Shenmue 3, The Last Guardian!
I can't afford an PS4 (own an Xbox One and Wii U) and I'm so jealous of every PS4 owner right now. Hopefully I can pick one up cheap in a few years to play all these games!
