I think she'd make a perfect a Oracle. Especially like the one portrayed in Arkham Knight. Then again , that means eliminating Batgirl from these films which irks me too.

We could still get a Batgirl down the road, just not Barbara Gordon. There's still Cassandra Cain.

why are people so concerned about illegal aliens. wouldn't it be more important that aliens are here. unless there's a legal process for aliens to stay on earth? i dunno i guess comics.
It's just a play on the phrase "illegal alien" generally referring to someone illegally entering another country, but in this case actually referring to an extraterrestrial. You're thinking about it too hard.

Remember when people were dickheads?

This movie is going to be so damn good.

It's America so those people probably think he's from Mexico since he's an alien.

oh, that's a good point. maybe his space ship landed there and he was like, "ah shit"

i realize the joke, but it's still absurd. he's more of a refugee and we can't send him back cause then he'll probably die

The fact that people are pissed at Superman at all is really dumb. Would have they preferred that he stayed out of the Zod fight and let the world get destroyed?

I just don't understand where the hatred is coming from.

They are doing it because the internet pissed themselves at the destruction in Man Of Steel. I really feel like they wouldn't be addressing it in this film if not for the backlash.

EDIT: Oh, you talking about the people in the movie or the internet?

Superman is an all powerful being. No doubt there will be people against this. Look at Lex. No doubt he'll play on these fears and how could you blame him? What if Superman just said "fuck it" and decided to rule the planet? Who's really going to stop him?

It makes sense people would question his motives/anticipate another attack on Earth.

I think the angle the people protesting and angry at him are coming from (based off the VO from the first trailer) is that he's the reason Zod was here and basically he brought their destructive feud to our planet. They don't know the details.

They don't know that Supes didn't come here by choice. They don't know that he wanted to minimize collateral damage if he could, but Zod made that nearly impossible. They didn't have the point of view we had when we watched MoS, they had the point of view of us when we watch the news; everything from a distance, everything kind of nebulous and based on heresay. What we saw in the trailer is how I would expect people to react if the events of MoS actually happened and we didn't have the ability to see all the little details of the fight.

Oh..great. Cassandra Cain. The only Batman sidekick worse than Robins ;)
By some miracle New 52 managed to thankfully wipe her out of existence. Let's keep it that way please and let her fade to where she belongs, which is oblivion.

I think the timejump we're dealing with eliminates a lot of the Batfamily. We're 10 years past him having already quit. Or at LEAST 10 years. Maybe more.

At 2:00 into the trailer Bruce says "20 years in Gotham, how many good guys are left? How many stayed that way?" So I'm guessing this is 20 years after he first put on the cowl, making him in his mid 40s I would guess.

With Under the Red Hood being extremely well received and (Arkham Knight SPOILERS)
AK ended up being Jason
Wouldn't be surprised if WB is trying to get the name out there, so that common people get the idea of who the hood is.

A Joker/Red Hood movie would be great. Maybe even add in elements of the Killing Joke, just to hammer how psychotic the Joker really is.

Everything. Everytime he appeared it turned the whole series from a neo noir series into sunday morning cartoon and I could want to see him dissapear.

Even in Robin's Reckoning when he's trying to find the guy who killed his parents and deal with the pain of losing them, where he and Bruce bond over their shared grief? The episode which very much retained its noir themes with Dick and Bruce both having their own investigations?

Like, okay I guess, if you don't like any version of Robin whatsoever. I just don't see the harm of having one film adaptation with a serious take of Robin (no Schumacher), and then we can go back to three more adaptations where Batman's all by his lonesome. Variety and all of that.

Batman's pretty "established" in this universe I think. Otherwise he wouldn't be as old as he is. It's a different look at the character on film, so it should be pretty interesting to see where the character is at.

I still don't know where to place the 'Army of Superman' stuff. Doesn't really make sense to me.

The Batman costume in the desert looks so out of place, it looks like something from Watchmen and somehow doesn't work for me.

Otherwise everything looks great! I love the fact that they are addressing the destruction from the first movie and even seem to be using it as a catalyst for Batman to doubt Superman and the reason (?!) he's coming back.

Really? It seems perfectly understandable to me. It's like Transformers, a bunch of fucking robot aliens drop down onto our planet and proceed to "save" our planet from the evil members of their race that are partly responsible for the destruction of their own homeworld and in doing so they end up destroying half of an American city. Sure, you might say "thanks" at the end of the day but a larger part of you would be like "Hey, you stupid fucks if you didn't come to our planet we wouldn't be caught up in your stupid interstellar civil war."

Just because Superman saved them from Zod doesn't get rid of the fact that Zod only came to Earth because Superman was there. Thus, Superman has inadvertently put Earth on the galactic map. Then there is also the fact that there is an all powerful super being who could totally kill everyone roaming around and who flat out said at the end of MoS "fuck you, US government trying to keep tabs on me" (paraphrasing), but promises to always be good. I'd be scared too.

You're using Michael Bay logic... not... good...

Really great trailer. Miles above the first one. I'm still cautious because Man of Steel had a great trailer too, but at least now I'm interested in this movie for the first time. I hope it's good.

Ya, this really bugged me too. The whole desert scene looked pretty whack.

Uh, in episode two? Christmas with the Joker? Or does that not count somehow, even though it's one of the more famous episodes?

What's so bad about Dick in the animated series? He's in an episode here and there and never seemed like a painful show stopper to me. Can't speak for Tim in season four because I haven't watched those in ages.

I mean...I think sometimes people just hate on Robin just to hate on Robin, an identity that has been taken by five different people (not including the Miller version, which makes it six) and been written about for decades. There isn't one redeemable story out there with a Robin in it? Not one?

I tend to not give a shit about the opinions who get all huffy about the idea of Robin. Either they come off as having their entire frame of reference being based off of Burt Ward, or there's a willful ignorance to the reality that Robin's been a key part of the Batman universe since year two, and are all key in helping reflect on Bruce's own personalty, as well as his strengths and weaknesses as a human being.

Everything looks incredible but I know that Snyder is good at making trailers. Now, I've enjoyed Watchmen from him but still think that he is one of the worst directors of the last 15 year, my hype is conflicted.

There was that batshit insane rumor that
Dick faked his death so he could investigate Waller and the Suicide Squad. There's also a rumor Nightwing is in this movie, but I wouldn't count on that.

Snyder is a good director and, for once, he has a legit writer on a screenplay.

Didn't the
Nightwing rumor come from El Mayimbe saying Adam Driver was up for the role, but in actuality he was up for the role of Luthor?

I'm not Snyder fan, but damn bro
The visuals in his movies are great but damn he can't make the story flow, it's always like watching a long trailer. It worked for a little but now I find it boring, with Man of Steel on top of that, whoever is in charge of editing Snyder's movies has 50% of the fault. I hope that a good script will eventually make Batman V Superman solid, like Watchmen.

this is victim blaming at it's finest. Superman didn't have a choice coming to Earth. for years he was living in anonymity living all over the world doing his hero thing in secret.
Zod and his gang are the ones who came to Earth wanting to wipe out everyone.

For everyone wondering about Wayne in the (alleged?) batsuit under a coat, well we really don't have a context. I mean the soldiers do have supes' symbol on them but we'll have to wait and see. He sort of reminds me of Hush lol. I'm really interested in Afflecks portrayal. I've never been worried about it but it's nice to see him actually nailing (from what I've seen so far) the character...just an amazing trailer.

As for Grayson showing up, it wouldn't surprise me IF he did. I mean I theorize that DC knows they need an "Avengers" movie and though I personally think they moved too quickly to have Bats and Supes in a film together (I figured we'd get at least one more supes solo film) they're probably trying to build towards the team film. I imagine that, by that time the avengers' "flame" would've died a little and they can then give us a hopefully awesome DC team movie. All conjecture of course.

Isn't the original Cassandra Cain run considered good, with her character being butchered once it ended?

I think he's laughing at the idea of a mainstream movie being made with Cassandra Cain when even DC ignored the character for a long-ass time. Only now with Batman & Robin Eternal are they finally going to reintroduce her. It took them forever to reintroduce Stephanie Brown too.

my god, that was a good ass trailer

I thought man of steel trailer's were amazing too though, and I ended up not liking that. I wanna be hopeful, but it's hard :(

Oh, that makes more sense

I still want to read CC's series, but there's no digital trades :(
