Speaking of cross-pollination, I wonder if a fighting game "triathlon" could be a thing. Similar to the Mystery Game Tournament except the games are all known beforehand. What games would you pick to maximize breadth of the genre? How would you score such a tournament?

I'm thinking SF, Smash, and Tekken for the three representatives (with potential for a VS game and an anime game too), and round robins in each of the games. Not sure how to set up a single or double elim bracket to give equal treatment to all subgenres though.

I know this idea has been tried at a local a time or two, as a round robin with all the games, and with points based on finish.

I've always wanted to run a small Ryu mirror only multi-game round robin with some friends. Any decent FG with Ryu in it that we can get our hands on, and have at it.

Sticky like they get stuck? How long did you use the Kuros? Some folks say they feel like Sanwas after breaking them in.

I own a TE1 and HRAP V3 SA. Is the wrist space comparable to either?

I used them for a few months now, and they're still more resistant than sanwas.

I have a round 1 TE, and compared to the Kai, the TE1 has about 1 inch of extra space between the stick/buttons and the red slant.

Art credits UNIEL for helping him become Young in SF4, too.

With so many different subcommunities at EVO it is as much a celebration of the diversity of fighting game players as well a competition to see who is the best. Everybody (in theory) put in many hours of effort to get where they are, no matter how many games they play.
That is what I take evo as. It's less of a competition and more of different games being played together and all the events as a whole.

Every fighting game feeds into each other, sticking to only 1 ever is bad

That is why most people who play fighting games are bad. :P

You were the one who played it up like it was gonna murder me.

Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure almost every single loss I've suffered in Xrd tournaments is because of Millia.

All I told you is it gets weird at night and bangs on doors :T

Also don't make me mention "you know what" in regards to your tournament losses :v
