I agree. Accent Core was a blast for this reason, they went full nuts with almost all characters by giving them tools people liked and asked for, and it balanced itself correctly with the help of the system. BlazBlue always felt to me that instead of accepting how people played the game and characters, they had a plan about how the game has to be played according to their own developpers almighty opinion. Also the constant struggle Arc had to balance the combo lenght was always something that made me feel they didn't know where they want to go. The limitation in BBCP is kinda stupid. :/

Boss characters are almost always made playable down the line (or from the start).
But it wouldn't surprise me if they made her a boss-only because they were still working on her.

Gotta finish Mr. Attack on Titan and Mr. Carmine first. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

She might be in the loketest, or she might be too unfinished for public testing. Like Johnny and Jack'O were available for the Revelator loketests but they had no voices and Instant Kills.

I didn't think she was that unfair though. Once you get in it's usually game over.

I actually like Dr. Strange, he's just extremely bad. Or is that what you mean?

Also, Mu-12 kind of plays like Dr. Strange in the whole "set orbs out to activate later", but with more interesting mechanics and no teleport. I doubt Nine will play that way. Actually, I somewhat expect (but am apathetic about) a "spell charge" mechanic like Dormammu or Robin's, where you use the D button to flip between spells, charge them, or combine different elements to fire them off. BlazBlue doesn't have anything like that yet, and Nine is a pretty good fit for the archetype. Platinum's projectiles are procedurally generated, AFAIK.

Of course, you have to look at what her backstory suggests she has in terms of power:
1) Soul manipulation.
2) Gravity manipulation.
3) Mind control.
4) Creates Ars and Nox weapons.
5) Teleportation.
6) Loves fire magic.
7) Has lightning magic.

So yeah, she can do pretty much whatever the hell they want her to do. However, since two characters have gravity/vacuum manipulation, mind control doesn't work in fighters (maybe as a finisher), and weapon creation would be silly, it seems like we are left with teleportation, fire magic, lightning magic, and soul manipulation (whatever that might mean). So, I have every reason to be optimistic so far.

Actually, if she had a moveset similar to Robin's from Smash, but with a teleport, she would be pretty fun to play.

I just want a general idea of what she plays like. I'll buy the game whether I like her or not, just because I said I would. If Nine is truly dull looking, I will grit my teeth and pick up Rachel while feeling like like a creeper.

I'm making a vow to be at EVO 2016. I should of went this year but decided not too for being way out of practice.But next year out of practice or not I will be there.

Could be, but iirc BBCP in arcades had two timed unlock characters...? When it came to console we got Kagura and two DLC chars. So who knows, they could dedicate a button to random select this time if they wanted.
