Well, now I know what I'm watching for the rest of the evening.
Just a shame that the image quality is kind of middling even on Source quality. But it's still VF, and I'm sure as hell not getting that from the EVO streams.

tokai bay is by far the lowest quality VF stream outta Japan. BT Cup is the gold standard. but I'll take what I can get

Japan and Asia in general are seeing an increase in the number of organizations sponsoring players, I don't think it would be that difficult for them.

You would have to think Sony would be able to step in. They are investing big in fighting games, it makes sense to invest in the top players to keep them around as well.

Pretty much every major sporting body centrally promotes players in some way.
They'd have to be careful that their players didn't get preferential treatment... but even if they did it isn't exactly like that would be new.
