True, hey, I do want another one, or at the very least an HD collection. Shadow Hearts is among my favorite jRPG series on PS2.
It's not going to happen. Verendus is frequently full of crap but people conveniently let that stuff pass.

Out of curiosity, how does the phrasing compare to Japanese translations of the Proust novel? Not that there would be any further connection between the two, but I wonder if that's where they got the subtitle.
It also depends on what it actually is.
If it's a console/handheld hybrid (which would be the smartest option for Nintendo) then you can lower your expectations for power by a lot.
I believe in Verendus. I believe in Shadow Hearts PS4. In fact, I'm so confident about this that I'll bet his account on it.

Bolded has nothing to do with anything. I obviously saw both versions since I made the statement in my first post that the 3DS version looks farther along. Using the same assets doesn't mean too much when one is HD and the other isn't, no to mentioned with two supporting devs involved with both each separate version.
Anyways, to your last point. Yes, I agree with you here, they could hold the 3DS version back but I'm not convinced they will - despite what they're saying right now.
Well now we have to suffer through localisation concern trolling or whatever you want to call it until they confirm it's being localised.
I mean, I can understand people feeling burnt after DQ7 but at the very least the PS4 version is obviously coming to the west yet we're going to hear the same thing until confirmation.

It's different. The Proust novel is called 失われた時を求めて and this is called 過ぎ去りし時を求めて
失われた is specifically "lost," whereas 過ぎ去りし is "passed" as in "time passed."

They are doing all the right moves. PS4 and 3DS gives it the best chance for this DQ to be successful worldwide, as occidental and Japanese taste in consoles/handheld differ. They even went the extra mile and provided a sprite-based version on the bottom screen of the 3DS! I'm very impressed.
Just you wait. Platform wars will come back closer to release. This thread has been too tame and some people are already getting ready to declare superiority of their version.
Verendus clearly knows things and has connections. But he's not foolproof and business matters can change easily when things are far away, especially with his outlandish claims. People just tend to believe him out of a desire for it to be true. Hopes and dreams

I love how you took this as a personal attack on Nintendo, when even Miyamoto said that the hurdles of HD development took Nintendo by surprise, hence why first party releases have been drip fed in the way that they have.
My point is simply that if Nintendo struggled to develop HD games on 7th gen level hardware, why are people expecting them to jump up several magnitudes a mere 3-4 years later. Nice attempt at snark, though.

The problem with Verendus is that he's a massive troll half the time, and sometimes it's hard to tell whether or not he's serious about half the things he said.
And you're right in that regard, but it's also true that he's been right more than enough times that he has some legitimacy to the stuff he post.
Doesn't mean it's to be believed, but it doesn't change the times he's been right.
