how often do people get items from watching? I've watched a shitload of games and I can't recall ever getting anything, or even seeing the notification that 'x people received an item for watching xyz happen'! in a long time. they should make it less rare.

I haven't gotten one this TI, but I did get one last year. Valve did change the system between then and now though, not sure if Heroic items are dropping or if it's just effigies.

I got one last year (a Skywrath Mage item) when SingSing got a double kill or something, I didn't actually realise until a while later when I noticed I had a new item in my inventory.

I watched like half of it but they won it in that half. He had like Clockwork levels of farm then a really good teamfight happened and he caught up in farm. It was mostly the Dark Seer, Naga, CM combo that won them the game. Also CDEC had no counters to illusions.
