This is a bit clickbaity, full phrase wasn't that bad ("you could see that she had blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever")

I can't quite figure out if Trump is:

a) making a mockery of politics for his own amusement
b) making a mockery of himself to elevate the appeal of the other candidates
c) trying to sabotage the Republican race (could be a secret agent for Hillary! :p)
d) actually running for President

The republican party's leading presidential candidate just implied a woman didn't treat him fairly because she was on her period.

This shit feels more and more like a Onion News farce but its real....

And why did he repeat that, instead of stopping at eyes?

It's like when Trump said McCain wasn't a war hero, and then sarcastically said he was a war hero right after, and his defense when he got in trouble for it was... the obviously sarcastic part.

EDIT
Jon Stewart explains it better than I can:

the relevant bit starts at 4:45

"you could see that she had blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever"
Excuse: "I never said vagina, you're taking it out of context, I said eyes."
As if it's not clear what he's implying, given that the female reporter asked him about all his past sexist comments, and the unique place where blood comes out of women.

"He’s not a war hero. He’s a war hero because he was captured. I like people that weren’t captured."
Excuse: "You're taking it out of context, I said he was a war hero in the next sentence."
As if we can't detect even the most obvious sarcasm.

The guy does not think very highly of the public's ability to see through his shit. Either that or he doesn't care because he knows there are enough chumps out there who will buy it...

America, I know you're sad that Obama broke up with you, he was a pretty cool guy all in all. But lashing out and flirting with some racist, sexist, pompous asshole at the bar isn't going to make anyone feel better. Think of what the neighbors will say.

Well he could have been going through the gamut (nose, mouth etc), and then couldn't be bothered and just stopped. Had he just said the headline article, yes it would be clear he was being hyper sexist.

Though given trump's past comments I certainly understand why he's not being given the benefit of the doubt

I am shocked that a site such as think progress would clip the part of the quote where he says eyes.

There's a million news sites that have reported this so we don't need to resort to linking to a garbage blog.

I seriously.... can't stop laughing at Trump. I'm a woman and I'm a Democrat. Am I broken? I don't want him to be President but... if he were, I might have endless laughs for a whole 4 years.

I would never vote for him but if we have to lose... I guess a troll would be best vs. a seriously religious conservative.
Fellow democrat here and I get you.

Ah, I see. People still stay trying to build a narrative as usual. To be fair, there is a 99.999% chance that he really has made period jokes about Megyn in private.

Both of these.

If I was moving (way) out of the country in 18 or so months or only had about that long to live I would totally vote for Trump just for entertainment sake.

Haven't seen the video yet but I don't think Trump is sharp enough to make that sort of insinuation. He probably meant it as "blood out of her eyes, nose or whatever etc etc".

No?

Never thought i'd say this, but I feel bad for the republicans if Trump is the one who's gonna represent them.

Someone jokingly said earlier that Trump was hired by the democrats to make republicans look bad. I'm starting to believe it.
The problem with this theory is that the other Republican candidates seem to be trying just as hard to make the Republican party look bad.

I'm not sure what the alternate interpretation of that is supposed to be, 'blood coming out of..' isn't really a euphemism. Closest thing might be 'seeing red', but alluding that someone is bleeding and then being ambiguous as to where is pretty straight forward.

Politico: Top Donald Trump deputy retweets ‘gut her’ attack on Megyn Kelly

Donald Trump and his allies have escalated a feud with Fox News moderator Megyn Kelly, with top deputy Michael Cohen retweeting a tweet from an account named “surfersfortrump” that said, “#boycottmegynkelly @realDonaldTrump we can gut her.”

The tweet came after Thursday night’s Republican presidential debate, during which Kelly and Trump clashed onstage over her tough questions about the mogul’s history of taking liberal positions and insulting women he dislikes.

Trump himself had fanned the flames of anger toward Kelly, bashing her in post-debate interviews for what he called unfair treatment, and using his own Twitter account to further attack her.

While it was unclear if it was Trump himself tweeting from his official account, at 3:24 a.m. early on Friday, Trump retweeted a supporter calling Kelly a “bimbo.” At 3:31 a.m., he called her “overrated” and “angry.” At at 3:59, Trump helped a supporter wondering about Kelly’s “hidden agenda.”

Cohen, executive vice president of the Trump Organization and special counsel to Trump, is not apologizing for the “gut her” retweet.

...

“I didn’t and don’t believe that the tweet implied physical violence against Ms. Kelly,” Cohen added in a follow-up statement to POLITICO. “I do not condone violence against anyone, male or female.”

Cohen has recently gotten in hot water for his comments about women, specifically in relation to old rape claim allegations from Trump’s then-wife Ivana Trump.

He apologized late last month after telling the Daily Beast that legally “you cannot rape your spouse.”

I'm not sold on the "she was on her period" read, he was stumbling and flubbing all through the interview there, he wasn't really articulating anything clean. Except he called her a "lightweight". Also even without the menses angle, he's looking at a woman's valid concerns and rejecting them out of hand with an insult: that should demonstrate his attitude about women well enough.

Trump is hysterical! I love it...

Fascinating word choice with "hysterical" there lol.

I dont see how he is implying that all. In fact you are taking his quote and turning it into what you want it to be.

In what world are we watching a #brand's retweets and giving any shits about them at all... That's so many steps removed from a person's sincere intention.

Running stories about RTs is examining shadows of reflections of shadows. RTs are the Waluigi of discourse.

Pretty much.

I do think the majority of the people here just love him because he makes the elections more fun to watch, but I doubt any of them want Trump to become the next president.

Just think though. If he's already this fun as a presidential candidate, how much fun would he be if he was actually president?

Megyn Kelly is a respectable news anchor outside of the liberal Fox News haters here so I'm genuinely sad to hear him say such vile shit to her..

And how many actual lives would he ruin? Sure when bush was in power, some of his bufoony moments were funny, but behind that act was a selfish, calculating person who caused so much damage to the world.

I know it's a joke, but I'm scared people wil vote for him 'for a laugh' when he isn't that nice a person.:p
