Is focused control the best option? Seems the last one gives the best of both worlds...control and speed?

It's the one that feels best to me. And after a few hundred hours with my Warlock, it's what feels right. I couldn't say for certain if it's the best, but I feel like it's pretty versatile when you get the hang of it. You can glide a huge distance with it, get good height with the right timing and feather it by tapping jump to help stick odd landings. The perk allows you a great deal of movement in the air too.
