Hillary Clinton's lead a puddle in the Sanders Sahara #deadheat #feelthebern

Here's the thing: we've had relative in-party peace because there hasn't been any real competition to Barack Obama in 7 years and Obama is and was a far superior candidate to everyone else running in 2008.

Uhh, there was plenty of shit-slinging in 2008 between Hillary and Obama. You don't remember Reverend "God Damn America" Wright?

Also, many people seem to think that the birther movement was a tea party invention. It wasn't. The Hillary Clinton campaign started that nonsense as a last-ditch effort in the waning days of the 08 primary.

Honestly, I barely even remember it. It was almost a decade ago.

But I was mostly just commenting on why people don't even remember it. Because we won.

So I saw the Hardball interview with Chris Matthews and Ted Cruz, and Cruz threw out a suspicious Bernie shoutout that Matthews called him out on right away.

(sorry for the Salon article but it has the relevant clip):

Basically Ted Cruz has the poker face of a person on laughing gas, and this shows what the GOP strategy currently is - while denouncing Hillary, start building up Bernie, because they know that they can astroturf their largely uninformed voting constituency that socialism = no vote. It's the only shot they've got.

This is what gives me pause when I consider voting for him in the primaries. The Republicans should not be this happy about me voting for Bernie. My spidey sense is tingling.

Benghazi Benghazi Benghazi! There is nothing indicating the email situation is anything but manufactured.

Explains why she can't give a straight answer to it, and acting all flustered like the other day in that gym with the press

Bernie just needs this to unravel a little longer

I mean, its sad that the poster right above me actively wants the favorite in the election who shares 95% of his own guy's positions to be completely discredited just so his guy wins, but c'est la vie. I doubt he's thinking about anything past the primaries and his own guy winning.

He's also called her a republican too. lol

Maybe I just need to stay off the internet during these times. I do not remember this much infighting in 2008.

The closest I can remember to this was probably 2000, when Naderites were claiming "there's no difference."

And yet, I think that anyone who has payed the least bit of attention since then has learned that yes, there is indeed a difference.

The nice thing this time? Bernie's getting big issues more attention, and hopefully dragging the rest of the field in his direction. And unlike Nader, he's a stand-up guy who refuses to run as a spoiler in the event that he's not the nominee - because he understands the stakes here.

Yeah I'm hoping his supporters actually listen when he gives his support to Hillary.

It's an example of her making shit up to suit her needs. Hillary can't be trusted on anything. She has no spine and plays to people's fears(videogames) rather than addressing the bigger issue...nuts with guns. She's insane.

You realize that Hillary is actually to the left of Bernie on gun control, right?

Christ, what am I saying? Of course you don't.

I get flustered when people ask me stupid questions too.

Secure private email servers were standard operating procedure when she was Secretary of State AFAIK, and the sensitive information on them was classified after the fact.

Her major sin was not hopping into her Delorean, going back in time, and preventing those emails from being sent (all without being seen by her other self, of course)

I think it would be great it Bernie were to get the nom.
I'll still grit my teeth and vote for whoever is the democratic candidate.. even Hillary.

I watched that Republican debate. I've followed the careers of Jeb, Walker, and I've witnessed the Trump orgy of stupidity.

I know what we're up against.

It's not just that: Matthews has a huge stubby for Hillary. He himself find problems with Bernie specifically because "socialism is not what this country is about" or some other senile shit he spews about it. It's embarrassing to see, because he's the only guy on MSNBC who has such a visible problem with Bernie.

This keeps getting better for Bernie

Sadly even though I support Bernie I think even HRC ending up in jail is not going to let him win. A wild Biden approaches...

Also seems like every Hillary fans favorite nerd is changing his tune a bit:

natesilver: So, Harry, what are Bernie Sanders’s chances of winning the Democratic nomination? Give me a percentage.

hjenten-heynawl: OK, the Bernie people have gotten to me. The Clinton emails seem slightly more likely to take down Clinton than they did a few weeks ago, so I’m going to double Sanders’s chances to 2 percent.

natesilver: I’m at 5 percent.

Changing his tune, or just discussing data points?
natesilver: So, I agree that the left should be pleased with how Bernie is doing. I think his ceiling is a few percentage points higher than it might have been an election cycle ago. I just don’t think it’s particularly close to 51 percent in a head-to-head race against Clinton.

micah: So, yeah, let’s talk about that ceiling. Let’s forget Biden or an external shock for the moment. Who’s to say Sanders won’t just keep gaining support? Concern about inequality isn’t limited to the left wing of the Democratic Party, after all.

Where is his ceiling? And why? Can’t he persuade his way to the nomination?

hjenten-heynawl: His ceiling is as high as his ability to gain among blacks and Latinos. Look at this latest YouGov poll that has a pretty decent sample among black voters. Sanders is currently getting … 4 percent. Should I say that one more time? 4 percent. You can’t win a Democratic nomination getting 4 percent of the black vote.

natesilver: This is where a Sanders reader would write in and remind us that Obama wasn’t doing so well among the black vote early in the 2008 race.

hjenten-heynawl: This is where I would remind them that a number of surveys at this point had Obama gaining near 50 percent.
Someone who thinks Hillary is most likely to win isn't necessarily a Hillary 'stan'. Data is data. If data favors Hillary, that's what you report as the most likely outcome. Pretending otherwise is just ignoring data.

"changing his tune", yet the subtitle is "We try to say something nice about #feelthebern’s quest for the Democratic nomination."

I would say this is a subtle jab, but I'd be lying, because that's not subtle at all

Trump is iOS/android devices. Despite having the less critical acclaimed games, he somehow is in on of the best positions while people try to downplay it for their own sanity.
Besides, XBern makes for a better pun.
But it don't fit him at all. Something popular, but not so succesful (compared to the competitors) like the PS Vita or the WiiU would be perfect for him. XBox seems to be more something for republicans.

The thrust of the conversation is that Sanders has a chance only if Clinton is forced to drop out of the race.

Her husband has literally come out against the war on drugs in general. Now she isn't her husband, but she also doesn't have the luxury as an acting politician to say the things her husband can no say. Her current stances seem to mirror our current president with leave it up to the states mentality regarding pot legalization. Most people figure it will be the states that lead the way for the Feds to make change
Not discounting any of that, but I would rather see a candidate that I could see being proactive rather than playing the 'wait and see' game.

It sucks for the cannabis industry because of the garbage they have to put up with because of the federal status like having to track every plant, not being able to bank anywhere, etc.

If it's going to be legal it should be legal.

I just love that THIS - of all fucking things - is the critical issue for you.

Just bonkers.

It's amazing to me as well, but it's probably worth remembering that, on some level, surprising though it may be, this is a video game discussion forum.

So probably some of the posters here are especially interested in issues having to do with video games.
