I'd bring the hammer down on racism against Asians, and Islamophobia.

Use racial slurs such as chinaman, chink, jap, oriental, gook, etc., then the ban hammer comes down.

Just like the mods currently do with racism against blacks, and anti-Semitism, and homophobia.

I don't think I'd be as quick to lock threads as Modbot though.

Pretty sure that would already get you a ban with the current mods... am I wrong?

For the most part, yes.

Historically, racism against Asians and anti-Asian racial slurs have almost always gone unpunished here.

It looks like things MIGHT be starting to change, but I've gotten that impression in the past and find that I was wrong.

I'll remain cautiously optimistic....

When I refresh the page it flashes red for the first second of the reload. They're trying to blend in, this is where it starts.

I'd hand out 24 hour bans to a random but very low percentage of the forum once every few months just to see how long it took before active members noticed the pattern.
That and instaban the driveby "they deserved it tho" posters in the threads on gaza and folks getting shot by cops.

I personally don't like power structures, as it allows abuse.* So I'd not be a mod. Unless, I was forced to in a hypothetical: be a mod or leave the forum. Which thankfully is insane.

*Not necessarily on this forum, but I've seen it in other forums. I don't blame people. Just human nature. e.g. have a bad day=more people getting bans and/or for longer for lesser valid reasons. Same as with any system that allows peer controls/judges.

I do think however that more people should be allowed more minor controls for admin related things, e.g. editing ops, where ops have been banned.
