You guys are giving waaaaaaay to much credit to the Japanese developers of 16 years ago if you think they'd bother to make an English Indian character.

This is what I'm saying. Sf characters are so predicated on stereotypes that it's hard to believe otherwise. You have to look from the myopic viewpoint of Japanese devs/anime culture. There caricatures are so on the nose that it's funny.

That & we may already know the remaining 6. It's kind weird how leaks both ruin & strengthen the anticipation. I want to see if the leaks were truly right, as Ono could always have a trump card. But at the same time, it's kinda disheartening to have the surprise ruined.
I'm seriously bummed because I'm doubting Urien's chances of making it in.

On Dudley - wasn't he partially based on Chris Eubank, like boxer was based on Tyson? Eubank was a big boxer at the time of SF3, and his whole schtick was that he was an 'English gentleman' type... he'd parade around in Rolls Royces wearing monocles, top hats, waistcoats, braces and tweed. He speaks with a lisp and a really typical posh British accent. I read somewhere that he was inspiration for Dudley, and, to be honest, the fit seems pretty uncanny, as does the timing, as Eubank was middleweight & later super-middleweight champion right around the time that SF3 was being made.
Anyway - if the above is true, Eubank is Black British... I really always assumed Dudley was the same.
Well, i think its a lock she gets her canon older design as shown there, i'm just wondering when the reveal will be.

It would be a little frustrating , if only because she has a canonical design as a Gym teacher (that makes perfect sense) instead of dressing a 25 year old up in a middle school uniform. Any things possible though , I'm still surprised they actually changed the way Ken looks so much.
Post-launch. Siliconera & Ken Bogard pretty much spoiled the remainder of the roster. So unless Ono throws a curveball, we already know who's in the game Day 1.

My main concern is what does that mean for the story mode? Is it just the base roster in the story? That would suck considering Sakura should have been feeling the effects of Satsui no Hadou by now
We'll likely get some of the early DLC characters in Story Mode, since 16 characters isn't exactly enough for Story Mode.
Doubt it since story has more emphasis this time around and guile hasn't been announced (probably saving that for the future). Guile is the one whose been looking for nash all this time. Also I really doubt sak would succumb to satsui no hadou, I don't think she has that level of importance. She's a glorified ryu fangirl. And ryu's story has been stagnant, seemingly going nowhere.
It's looking more and more like the story doesn't revolve around the core cast. I'm expecting a lot of characters not in the initial 16 to pop up in whatever story stuff they have planned.
I'm also starting to think the disc content might be on the lighter side.
Disappointed would be the better term...at least for me.

Ryu's story now will probably be him just wandering in on Bison's fuckery and saving the day by just being there.

That's what makes it so frustrating as a Sakura fan having to constantly refer back to her 16 year old schoolgirl design when she's had a legitimate older 23 year old design for almost 20 years

No, the 8 are from numbered SF games. So that includes SFIII as well.

Yeah, that's the way I see it. I still think Urien's a Bonus Boss that'll get added to the actual roster down the road, and that Juri will be on the default roster instead (She's way too popular to just ditch like that). But that's how I think they meant to organize it, too.
The story itself is still canon. I don't know about what they intended with the ending scene divergence in SF4 though
