I thought we were talking about videogames and not movies.


When in an industry that uses "cinematic" as an everytime excuse for little gameplay, 30fps, or scripted events, I welcome the change.

The game that popularized the use of them, shows that this media needs to evolve.
 
Sweet I won a copy of the steelbook edition.

Now I pray it gets sent to me in a timely fashion seeing I was going to go out and buy the game this afternoon.
 
Anyone know why some of my Side Ops are showing back up highlighted, despite completing them?

For example, most of the Side Ops I have finished are grayed out with a check next to it. Some of them are white, with a check next to them. Why are they showing up like this again?

Really though. Should I understand the "Man Who Sold The World" reference without having played MGSV yet?


It has been years since I played 4, and replayed 3. Just got through PW and GZ as of yesterday.


I have seen the tape in the trailers, I can only assume the "man" is Big Boss? Is that something we will come to find out, or is it something I have forgotten from a previous game?
 
Can you play the game offline on ps4 without issues? Couldn't care less about base invading and I sure as shit don't want XxBlazeYoMomxX invading me every time I'm half way though a mission.
 
Anybody have GZ on X1? For some reason it keeps telling me server is not available and as such I can't see the option to upload my save file.

Some of them are open for the player to replay them and my guess is that to make it easier for people to extract high skilled soldiers everytime as well as gain more currency. Easy grinding but honestly if you do the side op as well as main missions, you'll have more than you'd ever want.

You would cancel your preorder because some guys on GAF said it sucked?

Do you even have any interest in the game?

I think the question to be asked then, is are you informed enough about the game to make a valid decision? Because by now, it would be pretty hard to buy the game with no knowledge of the style of gameplay and storytelling.


Hideo Kojima said that this game would be more focused on gameplay and more sparse with the dialogue, and if you wish to know more about the lore it is there for you to discover through cassette tapes, just like Peace Walker and Ground Zeroes. This results in newer players not being beaten over the head with confusing storylines for hour-long cutscenes, and instead, forging their own story through emergent gameplay. For those that liked the deep, complex lore and storyline, there are tapes which contain more dialogues and such.


JUST like Peace Walker and Ground Zeroes.

Some people complained about this and feel like it was a surprise and that it isn't the "Metal Gear" they wanted, as if it's some new, unexpected development that we didn't know about or play the last two games.

Now I think some other users are just playing around saying it sucks and cgave them cancer. I don't think playing TPP actually gave one of our users cancer, so I'd assume that's sarcasm.


I'm tired and need this game now.
 
I just tried listening to some tapes from GZ. It was about Paz going fishing. It was only 2 minutes long, but felt like a lot longer.

Ebay. There are a few sellers selling what looks like fake Chinese ripoffs with shoddy paint jobs, so I contacted the only one with a decent looking one nad they responded saying that their version is the real deal, and it looks great. A bit small, but still awesome.

There are like seven to collect, Solidus, Emma, Ninja/Olga, Pliskin, Vamp, Fatman and Fortune.

Man, my bedtime is 930pm (I'm old) and I have to work tom. In reality, I should just leave it off until after work tom because I know if I start it up I won't stop playing til midnight. So, I have to wait 25 more hours knowing full well I could be playing in 1.
 
Just a heads up to the Xbox people, the iOS app isn't compatible with the Xbox One version at the moment, at least there's a disclaimer that says support is being added soon in the description.
