Wow, Mission 12. That had to have been a defining "moment" in Metal Gear for me. Nothing has felt quite as tense.

Poor Huey, I believe him ;__; Man Big Boss and the Diamond Dogs can be so ruthless at times

Can I replay missions? Got a C rank in one.

Yeah, just select the mission in the menu.

I've not tested it but I'm pretty sure that might be morale for each individual member of diamond dogs.

It's morale/loyalty. When you recruit people that don't want to join they go to the brig where that bar is replaced by 'persuasion,' which is basically their current resistance to joining the Diamond Dogs. For morale, higher is better.

Standing beside recruits in Mother Base raises their morale, as does gaining medals from deployments(?); having low money or troublemakers can lower it. High morale boosts their attributes, which is very useful for high-ranking units, boosting their already-impressive attributes even higher.

Protip for recruitment: The unit's highest capability (combat/medic/etc) will flash, letting you know where they'll be best assigned after fultoning. And a lot of E- or D-rank units with skills are troublemakers... so watch out.

I didn't have a rocket launcher for mission 8, so I must have Grief. I don't recall the mission specifically though,
is it that timed one? If so, I used C4 during the first bit and other stuff for the rest. There's a lot of explosives in that mission.
Eh, just tackle them or punch them. Keeps it interesting.

Some of them know where the diamonds are. And others want to touch D-Dog's foot pads, which means they get a tranq. Freaks.

Is there a way to call in the helicopter and just move to a different drop zone without having to enter it. Go into the menu. Select. Then watch all the animations again?

Basically like you can do mother base by just switching platforms.

Lashley

Why does he wear the mask!?
I've read from you guys theres a cut scene at motherbase I dont want to miss?
I've just done episode 5, so if at all possible, could you tell me when I need to make sure I see it without spoiling?

After getting the first wandering soldier, go to the med bay and enter through the door with a blue light over it, go to the other door inside and hit triangle

Can someone tell me when the replay missions start? I'll probably stop playing there so I need to know how many missions I have left so I pace them properly.

No but when you finish your Side Ops you can hit the left touch pad and return to ACC in your helicopter instantly and send off again. It saves after you complete a Side Op so you don't have to worry about losing progress.

After
Mission 31. You'll know when, because the credits will roll. Replay missions will be marked, and completing a good number of them is necessary for seeing the remainder of the story content. There are also new missions after Mission 31, though.

nvm someone got to it before me, but yeah, i wonder how many people (reviewers included) may have missed this, because I'd never have thought to look that intensely without seeing posts about a med bay secret.

Thanks for that just gone through all my staff and threw the 8 troublemakers out.

Beat it on PS4, had a ton of old gift cards laying around, thought I'd go 360 for a second playthrough.

Curious how it holds up.

You'll see it, they are very clearly labelled side ops.

Yeah, it's a named side op

It's a side op

yeah, its an earlyish sideop

Thank you for the replies!

To think im 13 hours in and only at mission 5!
Took nearly an hour and a half on that one alone!

I'm on the first mission. Are most of you taking out all the men at these outposts or just skipping past them? Seems kinda difficult so far.

You guys really can't tell the difference between Ocelot and Kaz? Kaz is usually really angsty or skeptical, and Ocelot is usually the one dropping Wikipedia bombs on you. And he's also Troy Baker with a bad cowboy accent.
I'm incredibly familiar with both characters and the work of both voice actors. Yeah, Troy baker doesn't do enough at all to differentiate himself. Usually I can tell who's who but throw Keifer into the mix with all 3 talking on a tape and it's bad. They really needed to do more to contrast the characters voices.

Infltrating (pre-mission 12 spoiler)
the power plant
at night felt too "MG MSX". Damn, feeling the "closing the gap" thing, loving that }.

Only one of them is a bad cowboy impression, though? Unless it's so "bad cowboy" that it approaches "not cowboy."
