Am I crazy, or have they not announced the full roster yet?? They've announced it at Summerslam the past few years. But that has come and gone.

Last year they didn't announce the full roster at Summerslam. They went through a bunch.

IGN has been releasing the roster weekly.

There are 77 out of 120 names released so far.

Yeah, they were going to pull the trigger sooner or later. microtransactions are here and probably shitty servers to match so it wipes saves and never works properly like NBA!

They had those in last year.

I find it funny that Zack Ryder could have popped up by using his comeback and no sold a double F5.

Well the guy always gets up within 5-10 seconds anyway in this game. Yukes doesn't believe in selling moves or giving you time to set up something cool in the game with weapons, ladders, or tables.

Put yourself in their shoes. People bitch if the game is too slow, they bitch when it's too fast.

Yeah, I see some things that I like. Does that bother you? I've lurked these threads for a while. You have a tendency to whine to everyone.

Why would it bother me? What do you like about it? You remind me of a certain closet fan that used to post in the WWE game threads before release that also liked anime.

I am the animelord.

I like that there's wrestling. I was a HUGE fan of King of Colosseum 2 and 2K15 seemed like a step in that direction. It did some things right and some things very, very wrong. 2K16 seems like its tightening up a lot of things. The glitchy rope break is unfortunate, but its just a game.

These games have really come a long way. I try to see things for the positive, not the negative. It's an improvement over what I used to play as a kid in the late 80s, early 90s. It's also a huge step up from AKI's attempts.

Bro its ok to like the game. I liked 15 also. But I wouldn't disagree with someone if they thought they were bad games. They kinda are. Wrestling games are a weird bad thing anyway. I'm not ashamed to say I like a bad game. I think fire pro is amazing but, honestly, its also a bad game. Just like what you like. I dont even disagree with Bobo but I can overlook some stuff. I'm looking forward to buying the currently non existent PC version of the game though.

I don't understand. I never even said 2K15 was a good game :|

"step in that direction". "Did some things right, did some things very, very wrong".

2nd ninja edit* maybe I misunderstood your post. Worked a VERY long shift today, so I've got some mind fog v_v

I just thought you were defending yourself for liking it. I was agreeing with you lol. I was kind of rambling too.

These are the same exact thoughts that theclosetfan said last year down to the games that he liked and him disliking Aki's games. You also have the same writing style. Are you theclosetfan?

I really don't know who that is, but he sounds like a smart guy. AKI kinda did suck. No Mercy = Revenge = World Tour. Rose-colored nostalgia glasses, baby.

Staying on topic: I really wish they would do something about the crowd. *Double F5* crowd remains seated. Even fixing up the crowd audio would add a lot to the immersion. I've given up on audio in wrestling games, because the sound has always been terrible. No matter who the developer is.

Awkward transition into the match, and a random Michael Cole call in 96. And this is official footage.

I'm hoping that random Cole is just a pre-release issue. Knowing Yukes though...

Triple threat footage from wwe2kdev channel.

Stamina doesn't appear to be on or working which is weird, because they fall to their knees at times.

I guess they can turn it off but why would they. The way they cut that video doesn't help either. It's just random spots and feels sped up.

It takes up like the whole PS+ upload space as is I think

That just flat out need increasing, that's been full for me well before WWE 2k15. It's already got shitty load times, add compression to the mix and the time to decompress would put me off even using CAWs.

Funny enough, the PS4 3.0 firmware is finally addressing that. 10GB

I'm not even in the beta, and it's already being rolled out. I only noticed because my 2K15 save file said "uploaded" for the first time ever. (But really, I should disable that as I don't want it uploading 800+mb every time I play the game)

Uh, I can confirm that he's not me. Also, I'm not into anime Bobo....not sure where you got that from.

I'm sure it has been brought up countless times, but did you guys ever play Power Move Pro Wrestling? That game was king.

That's kind of one of the earliest titles in the WWE 2K lineage. Yuke's made that game based off of their NJPW Toukon Retsuden series, which they continued until starting the Smackdown series.

Toukon Retsuden 4 was an amazing game and, at least as far as my memory takes me, probably better than the WWE games these days. That's most likely not true in the whole "is a true thing" sort of way, but it's true in the ways that matter.

That was the Dreamcast one, right? I wanted to play that one so badly. Had to settle for WWF Royal Rumble :|

Yeah, it was one of a few great Japanese wrestling games on DC. There was a Fire Pro game and AJPW Giant Gram too, which is pretty much forgotten by everybody. These three were some of the best perks of the Dreamcast having easy to play imported games.

Giant Gram is one of my all time favorites and it's a shame it doesn't get mentioned as often as the Spike/Human games. It meshed arcade speed with a intricate timing system and there's been nothing else like it. When the art for Sega Soccer slam leaked it was of the luchadore and I briefly had a hope of a generic Giant Gram game, but then the soccer stuff came out.

I don't hate the 2K games, I just wish there was more competition. I'd really like a great portable wrestling game now that there are handhelds that can support it. I don't see that happening though.

Giant Gram was so great. Vader was the king in it.

I loved Misawa and Dr Death. I half joked about TR4 being better than 2k15, but Tiger Driver '91 and Emerald Flowsion still haven't been done better in a game than they were in Giant Gram. And the botched powerbombs. Those were disgustingly accurate.

Any clips or gifs of the powerbombs?

When in doubt, search for Misawa vs Kawada. It starts at 4:59 if you are on mobile and the timestamp doesn't work. Around 3 minutes is the emerald flowsion I mentioned. Some of the moves in the game were actually pretty hard to pull off, so I wouldn't be surprised if videos are hard to find for some of them.

edit: The actual move as it happened, spoilered for head trauma.

Sick!

That match is one of my all time favorites. Right up there with the Dragon Gate 6-man tag match from Ring of Honor's Supercard of Honor. Nobody does it like Japan.

That game still looks better than what Yukes puts out today. Firepro was still my favorite though.

That looks really impressive for a DC game, like the unique isometric angle too.
