So Side Op 144 where the hell is?body
Searched for over an hour in the zone.
A major important story spoiler far late in the game. Need some help.
Does anybody know where I can find the body of the man on fire? Been looking everywhere with DD yet nothing. I know I'm not looking hard enough lol.
EDIT: Never mind, found it.
Really need some help with one of the important side ops late in the game, so if you haven't got far in the story don't read this. If anyone who has completed and can help, I'd appreciate it.
Number 144Secure the Remains of the Man on Fire
Where the hell is it? I've cleared the outpost and interrogated all the guards and I'm no closer.
So, finished the "main game" and now I'm in the peace-walker post plot more plot stuff. I'm stuck on side-op 144 though.
"Secure the Remains of the man on fire." Like, I figured he was gonna be inside that outpost because that was the only large area within the side-op radius, but I got there, cleaned the whole place and have no idea where to look. I know I'm probably missing something obvious but I'm reeeally lost here.

The funny thing about the limited dialogue is I'm thrilled when Big Boss finally talks in a cutscene. Was so relieved how the bringing Quiet to Mother base scene went in the end.
So I'm on Mission 16, and I don't really understand how I'm supposed to fight. To me, this just feels like more bullet sponge bosses like PW. What am I missing?the Skulls
Rebel yell?
Anyone know where?
LOOOL I am blind WTF.![]()
He's in the middle of the damn base.
having a drinking game about the times he talks and i'm sober as hell. bringing kiefer into this brought nothing noteworthy to the series. the more i play the more i think how bizarre this whole cutting hayter to have a mute snake thing is, i would have called budget cuts but it doesn't make sense since they brought in an high profile hollywood actor, legit wondering what his check looked like cause he must've walked out thinking he robbed konami with how little work they had him doing/had to do.
If you follow that mission normally, you have to deal with the following:
A driver, 4 skulls, a tank, and a personal carrier as you are catching them on the road.
Goddammit spoiled ANOTHER fucking mission by glancing up from the floor just in time to see a name. FUCK these opening credits, seriously. I can respect design decisions but this is literally the stupidest thing I've seen in a game for years.
Use the tank.
I really don't like the lack of story presentation...
I did it during the day too, and it wasn't pretty, I'll tell you that.Christ that must have been hard during the day my god
Most open world games do a better job at storytelling presentation than this.I'm guessing they cut to opt for the open world. I'd prefer better presentation from Metal Gear, myself.
I've got her fully mastered and could probably give some help. Anything in specific that stands out?

So not an excuse Kojima![]()
Ok, I'm going to hope this is the thread that is more or less spoiler safe.
I was really hyped about the game until I found that it would be open world, which totally kills it for me (and then FOB and online stuff, invasions... bleh). I really don't like the stealth mechanics and I just want the story, that I am being spoilered already everywhere from FB to Twitter. Right now I have a bad gaming burnout and I am too busy studying to devote time to a game (plus busted the money I had saved for it into a gym subscription), so I don't see myself playing before Xmas vacation, and by that point it's pretty sure they will have ruined the whole story for me unless I do a social media blackout.
Think it is ok to start watching longplays / walthroughs of the "no comments" variety? It's going to be the first time I do this, so I'm having it hard to know which of the streams I should be following, in terms of playing it properly, etc...
On the opposite end of the length spectrum I cleared a mission by running forward, throwing two smoke bombs, and driving off in a jeep with a prisoner I had to rescue. I couldn't believe it worked and couldn't stop laughing.
What does the Quiet command do? Also why does she only mark few random targets? Why are her commands sometimes greyed out? And lastly, is there any way to improve the timing between giving Fire command and she actually taking a shot?
Desperately need help with Side Ops 143
Where on earth is the AI core. I've cleared out the entire base and I can't find the thing, even after interrogating inf soldiers.
I've spent the last 25 hours trying to figure out why I couldn't dismiss this annoying troublemaker that was causing fights. I figured it was part of the 'annoyance', that you couldn't solve the problem by simply firing them. Turns out that in my early game fumbling with the UI I had accidentally set him to 'direct contract' which made him impossible to dismiss.
The mother base UI in general is just...blargh
I don't mind them, if anything knowing that the skulls are going to show up keeps me on my toes and decides my loadout. It would be cool to toggle it. But if knowing the skulls and skull face are going to show up somewhere in the next 20 minutes is ruining a surprise, your birthdays must have sucked.ROTFL, was coming here to complain about the same thing.
There were quite a few of those going on before release. You missed those. I gave quite a few of them actually.
Dunno of any other place currently giving out the game.
Well the thing is, in the least spoilery terms. It'll take a long ass time to watch a longplay of this game. I finished the "main story" in about 35 hours and that's skipping some things. Theres a LOT of gameplay between the small bites of story you get. If you can watch a abridged version of the story it'll take about 30 minutes sadly.
It's there, you just don't like how it's presented and that is fair.I really don't like the lack of story presentation...
-regenerating health(no more rations??), no gauges(grip, stamina, etc...)
I believe the Quiet command is to get her to stop humming for a little but I'm not actually positive on that, the command itself goes away pretty early on when your bond grows and gets replaced by cover me. Cover me makes it so that she will just fire at everything without commands until you say stop.
When she scouts a base she runs around the outskirts and marks whatever is visible to her, unlike ddog who is more of a straight up wallhack. She can't do that which means she can miss targets that walk around, though she can still mark while perched at a sniper spot.
Commands are greyed out when she's under fire and can't aim at someone. Sometimes means she's relocating which she does automatically when people close in on her.
There's always a bit of a delay after you say fire. If she has her sights on someone who is about to spot you(like reflex mode kicks in) and you fire at them she'll instantly put them down assuming you see her laser sight.
Early on she was basically best used as a distraction. Make noise, get everyone to focus on a certain direction while you sneak in behind everyone. When you can start getting suppressors or especially the suppressed tranq sniper she becomes insane.
