Has anyone seen the scene with quiet shooting Venoms cigar?

Also Venom has 2 horns, a little one and a big ish fat one. The Medic however only has 1. FROM FOX TWO PHANTOMS WERE BORN.

So... I finished episode 45 and now the last three are just 48, 49, and 50. They're just repeat missions from I get. Does that mean I've seen the ending already? I've done about everything else.

8: [EXTREME].. repeat 49: [SUBSISTENCE].. repeat 50: [EXTREME].. repeat

I'm was hoping we'd get to see Shadow Moses and possibly a fight with Eli.

31, 45 and 46 are endings. The repeats could've been in a different tab. They're not even required to do.

46 is the ending.
I never did 45.
Might have to do more side ops before it appears?

It triggers on the day you entered as your Birthday in the beginning.

Did you play episode 46 yet? If not you haven't seen all endings.

No I meant to get 46 to appear. I have no intention of doing 45.

46 appeared for me along with the last few.

I think you need to have done all yellow side ops, all new chapter 2 missions. And have MB upgraded to some extent (my command was maxed, rest at 2 or 3). Perhaps max bond with all buddies and clicked all yellow tapes.

Note that I don't have 45 yet either. So its not required.

The plot thickens.

Wow. That goes in line with a super old theory I had way back before MGS4 came out I was harping on about on this forum, that the reason BB made Outer Heaven was because he was asked to by The Patriots to do so, so they could keep tabs on revolutionaries (a la Ghost Babel), a mission. He just couldn't manage to escape The Patriots' grasp in the end, they used him all the way no matter what, his story paralleled The Boss.

So on his final mission, he sends Solid Snake (probably at The Patriots' demand) to be put to death (Snake said in MGS1 BB wanted to die), but he wishes to use that inevitable confrontation against him to teach Solid Snake to never become like him. Not by telling him, because that won't change anything, but by making SS hate him so much he'd never become "a demon" himself. It's the same as The Boss did (well that's how I saw The Boss' final confrontation, she forces Big Boss to do The Philosophers' bidding, so that he will hate the idea and break free, where she never managed to, and in the end neither does BB).

It sounds like V here is basically spelling this out.

Imagine, the final confrontation between Solid Snake and Big Boss, a mirror of the fight between Big Boss and The Boss.

For anyone that's really delved into all the audio cassettes on top of finishing the game, Huey / Emmerich is undoubtedly the most fucked up and evil character in the game.

BB already said they were both BB's. So he sees V as himself too.

This is 'V' talking, but unless they are trading cassette tapes he's talking to himself like a crazy fuck.

But "I've got to drag out this demon inside me" makes me immediately think split-personality.

It's surprising that Otacon turned out the way he did really, Huey would've made REX have a puppy grinder built in.

So that tape pretty much confirms Venom Snake going into a suicide mission in MG1?

In that case its a horrible cut. Why even cut 1 minute of something that would make sense.

Probably wanted to leave whether or not V would be happy with the Truth ambigious.

The more I think about the ending and V being BB's double, the more I dig it. Maybe it's because I finished reading Nabokov's Despair a few days prior to playing this game, which also deals with "doubles" and attempting to have someone take your place (though in BB's case it works)

Yeah, I thought earlier on about how BB created a copy of himself to extract his demon, draw the Venom out of his body.

If he went on fighting by himself, he would become a demon, so instead he lets someone else fight, expelling the demon out of himself by creating V.

But now V wants to get rid of his own demon. By trying to get rid of his demon, it might just end up in someone else in the end. Liquid, Solidus, who knows. Maybe the The Patriots' AI.

I think when they realized they had to cut important content, they decided to remove enough meaty stuff for a DLC or sequel.

Gotta admit, this sound bite really makes the whole Venom, body double thing, so much better. BB is just trying to heal, and now V is too.

edit: I think this audio was for an ending after mission 51, and probably after many other missions.

...Or maybe there's still an update to be made~!

...but seriously I looked up that Ingsoc site, it was registered in Washington. Unless they're using a proxy for an ARG site, it's a hoax.

If that's true, then we better get some kind of DLC for 51+tapes like this. Hopefully maybe someone talking about Liquid's and Solid's training, or even Solidus' birth. I'd accept a $5 price point for it, even.

How more cut stuff we'll find out in the next days, I wonder. Hopefully someone finds out what the MSX static in the Operation Intruder N313 cassete is too.

Wouldn't it just be the loading of the tape like on an actual MSX?

Also the mental gymnastics some people in here are doing to come up with something worthwhile and the fact that people are willing to actually pay in order to get an ending they want is ludicrous.

edit: I guess V could manage to make his own phantom, which would live on to be MG2's Big Boss. He wants to pull his demon out of himself, so maybe he'll try and fail, much like Big Boss did in a way. But then that would leave the real BB alive.

What is the Vic supposed to mean in Vic Boss?

It's from PW, soldiers call him Vic Boss at some point, as in Victory. It's dumb.

Exactly. I love the gameplay too. But who gives a shit about this boss? Its not even like the man playing him is interesting. If you told me Grey Fox was V id be fine with it, ut this no name create a character is just nothing.
Venom Snake > Big Boss.

That's why you should give a shit!

You know I bet the world that even with the twist if Kojima had a 1 minute follow up with just SS entering what looks like a normal base(in reality it's Outer Heaven) and then have him voiced by David Hayter saying "This is Snake. Do you read me, Big Boss?" Then it cuts to black, I'm sure people would really love the ending.

As it stands now though eh, I liked/loved aspects of the ending and story as a whole as well. I thought it was much better than the singing A.I's or worse, The Boss spirit or whatever in A.I form taking control of PW and drowning it while singing lol.

Unlock 45 by having Quiet at max bond. The ending is her leaving. You probably want to avoid it.

Oh really? Lol. She's at Max right now. Weird that it didn't unlock yet? Oh well. The gameplay is still great so lots to still do. It's a shame about the story. PeaceWalker has such a good story with Ashley Woods' art. What happened Kojima?!

Why are missions 33 and 34 repeats but on a harder difficulty? I do not understand what's going on. Clearly there's a lot to the game I have yet to see.
