Just another disappointed face rolling in. I finally beat all of the story missions.
I thought this game was supposed to be "BIG." So much smaller than I was expecting. So much shit I was expecting to see that just didn't fucking happen. I don't think I've been this disappointed/upset since after seeing The Dark Knight Rises.
I wasn't really Big Boss, I was just some random fucker pretending to be him. So fucking awful.
Also really upsetting that I had to watch the actual ending on youtube. Chapter 2 was a joke.

You know when you think about it, Venom is totally a way for Kojima to actually hand this series over to someone else now.
Like, it could totally go on some tangent spin-off series and Konami can do whatever the fuck they want with him. This is especially because he is such a blank slate.

I'm at a total loss here.
I just did mission 43
and I don't have any yellow dots anywhere.
How do I progress?
I've done all available side ops.135/157 with no unchecked ones open right now.
I have no cassettes to listen to.
I've done every story mission except the total stealth / extreme / subsistence ones.
My mother base is has each platform at at least level 3 with 2 at level 4. Though after mission 43
I am not using a butterfly emblem
and all of my buddies are maxed out except D-Horse.
I'm at a total loss here.

Here's the link detailing the unused/unknown extra uniforms from the leaked script. These include "Foxtrot". "Sandstorm", "Realtree", "Panther", "MGS3 Naked", "MGS3 Sneaking" and "MGS3 Tuxedo", along with buddy uniforms like "Horse_Parade" and "Horse_Western". There are also two entries named "Suit_Eva" and "Suit_The Boss", which makes me think they are/were alternate uniforms for Quiet. Removed for unknown reasons.

Best moment in the game when Ocelot hands you the passport with a "new name" and it reads Big Boss. Felt like a genuine, silly MGS moment.

You can just finish them and if something needs to pop up, it will.
Eg, I finished a Tank Unit side op and as soon as I fulton'ed the last guy, the screen went black and Miller's Comms came up saying i need to report to mother base ASAP and the game took me there.
The game's real weird about mission progression.

Those Naked uniform you mentioned are for Quiet. Venom's Naked Camo is available for every uniform. Just press left on the uniform tab.

I see. There is a Naked Gold and Silver camo for Snake, but you have to fulfill certain criteria (obtaining the Master Certificates to unlock them), but I didn't know about the left prompt. Will amend my list.

I love how they took the crippled otacon clone from peace walker and turn him into the most hate-able character in the entire series. Huey went from being a bro in PW to being a backstabbing, nutless, and pathetic gendo ikari clone with a urinary problem(lol). I was always kind of off putted by otacons backstory from mgs2 with his sister and step mom, but after playing MGS5, i thanked the lord for giving huey the punishment he deserved. fucker deserved every bit of cucking otacon gave him(or his wife LOL)

If you're not triggering the next main "mission" keep doing side ops. If you've got a mission but its not a yellow marked one, still do it. That should unlock the next set. Or just do a few side ops and it should do it that way.
There's no specific trigger for events as far as i know, I just did missions and side ops mixed together and only really had to do 2 side ops the one time I didn't get any new mission before it triggered.
It's an IV bag, the camera does a pretty specific zoom on it to highlight the point.

You can tell their voices are slightly different though, Keith was very assertive and loud as Ishmael / Naked but very quiet as Ahab / Venom.
I wish I picked a better avatar too after that ending lol. I'll have to replay it again with a character that looks more like Big Boss from MG1.
It answered 2 out of the 4 big questions I had - Who was Ishmael and what happened to him? I knew there was something special about him. Then the second is why Eli / Liquid's DNA didn't match Big Boss.

Yeah alright god what a strange progression system. I guess they thought I wouldn't have done all the side ops so I'd actually have new stuff to do. But since I literally only have the extreme and total stealth missions available it was a bit confusing.
I'll just keep redoing side ops tomorrow to trigger the next part of the story.

If you've got the extreme and total stealth missions available, do those too. They count as numbered episodes as well.

Sounds like Konami pushed it out the door to stop Kojima spending anymore money. I don't think it would be on the blu-ray if it was going to be DLC, but I wish it was.

Possibly, but it wouldn't make much sense for them to stick just about all the story from it on the extras disc if they planned to make it DLC later.
I'm not 100% on this, but since they DO appear as numbered episodes, i'm gonna go ahead and say yes.

Man it was hilarious to see my player created simplistic avatar with zero facial expression pop up in that cutscene. That shrapnel especially looked out of place because his face was so clean and plain.
Then there was the name, I picked an online id for it and it shows up on the back of the photo and the passport Bog Boss has, along with the photo of my avatar.
I just couldn't help myself from laughing in that scene. What if my player avatar was a black dude? Why would BB has my player avatars name and face on the fake passport lol
I don't think 51 is DLC. They wouldn't have showed it if it was. With Kojima only there a few more months I doubt we'll see much more than cosmetic DLC. I think all parties involved want to wash their hands of this game's development.

I found a couple in the Power Plant location, but I think it's just random. I'm going through all the side ops and occasionally I'll stroll through a village and quickly tag everyone to check, a few pop up from time to time. 367,000 heroism if that makes a difference.
I'm almost certain it does, I know it affects volunteerism. Since getting my heroism so high most soldiers in the field have at least one stat at A or A+. Had a few multiple A++.
I understand that but Liquid has the demands for Big Boss' body in MGS1, remember?

I assume it's BB because he was burnt to a crisp by SS at the end of MG2.
Then who's the Big Boss at end of MGS4?
The original I'd assume. I'm sure he'd check the DNA. Plus it's burnt.
