This move makes sense for Juri, and the previous picture showed a move that looked more like Juri's over any other returning member. Unless Cody shoots purple energy projectiles close to the ground now 😂😂😂
Although maybe purple energy projectile + tornado makes sense for both Juri and some 3rd strike character? Don't know much about them.
The projectile I agree. The tornado.....
They could add a tornado to her kick when she charges her projectile. Let us continue believing.

I like that he's depressed, his moveset and voice clips are great, and he's from fucking Final Fight. also I like throwing rocks at people and stabbing them
He's a guy who is so strong and bored he breaks out of jail to fight people. And has to keep his cuffs on because fighting through capcom detriot (metro city during final) with a ninja and mayor of erf has made him so strong people who have since abandoned their humanity acknowledge how much this guy could actually do with the cuffs off. You bore him, you are boring him.

In a game about uppercuts and fireballs, his fireball is throwing a rock. He fights with knives, pipes, has a lot of catchphrases.

I guess the city was already in that state before Haggar. He then went to become a mayor to solve everything by piledriving every single thug in the city.
I mean he kinda is, but at least instead of gentrification he opted forvthe fix the city option. Granted, it invovled grabbing a ruffian a ninja and a pipe. But he tried.

Metro City was always a cesspool in the vein of Gotham even before Haggar came in office. Likely his predecessors were either weak willed or as corrupt as the gangs occupying it.
A lot of people played Final Fight before SF, so they have a history of using the character to fight in the street.

I love his and guy design. I also played final fight a ton in the arcade as a kid.
Besides being the main in FF, he is a honest SF character who is a ton of fun to play. Also, lore wise, he is one of the strongest in the SF universe.
His attitude is the #1 real reason though.
Mind games = hype.

Same here, played OG Guy on final fight cab (my sister played Cody). I think it's funny that when I first saw Cody in SFA3 I didn't realize it was Cody from final fight... I do like that Capcom let Cody slide off from being a good goody, otherwise Guy and Cody pair would have gotten pretty boring.

He is an ex-con who actually fights in the streets unlike a whole bunch of "street" fighters who fight on the streets despite being holy men, actual martial arts practitioners, soldiers or secret agents. I like his attitude and the fact that he can actually keep up with his opponents while wearing handcuffs too.

Nah son, i think he punching so hard whirlwinds just happen. Then again I also sonic booms were that sort of thing to, but if nash's super is any indication its also ki, so maybe it is.
To the lower parts of your statement, thats why i like cody. Its why i also like viper, i like a character who's existance got folks questioning they life choices.
I dunno about that, do the miniature whirlwinds that accompany some of Balrog's and Dudley's moves also indicate mastery of Ki? I think Cody just punches so hard he creates atmospheric disturbances.

I say chances are 50% Cody, 40% juri and 10% guile.
Maybe? Ki is supposed to be the manifestation of fighting prowess.
Cody just achieved it through sheer badassery instead of shoryukening waterfalls.
They can and have changed it. She is character i often find people saying " she's cool but i wish i could play her" the desire is there. Just mark her marvel or omega viper. Preferably the latter

It's a new character.
I found myself using that HP variant of sonic boom so much during beta to get my distance on someone. Almost never used EX unless I wanted to use 3 sonic booms and teleport for a finisher
