Well I found the mod I had been looking for I will start to mod mines right now. I can finally play the game as it should have been played, there is room for only one Big Boss.

Better question is why is Skullface so mad again? Because he had to babysit Snake during MGS3? How did he go from "I hate my job." to "I will wipe out the English language and take over the world."

I just really need Kojima to make a horror game again. Kojima's penchant for paranoia bullshit and meticulous attention to detail in gameplay fits right at home in horror.

Just give me back PT Konami, pls.

Another thing I find rather odd, they literally said in the beginning of the game that Venom will experience hallucinations due to the shrapmetal.

Yet we only get a single instance in game where we know for a fact Venom hallucinates, and that's with Paz. Kinda odd for such a seemingly important plot point for our character to literally never be used or expanded on in the main game, with exception to the color swapping and confusing in Episode 51.

I wonder if that idea was scrapped, or there is a possibility we played a whole game with an unreliable narrator and didn't even know it.

So uh Paz's door has been locked for a good long while now, it's red colored. I didn't get to show her all my pictures, I had them all. After they eighth one, this happened.

I guess it's glitched.

The faded colours actually happens every time you take too much heavy damage.

Exactly.

Like I said earlier, if we got another game with Venom set ASAP after MGSV, I want him in crazy pills mode.
Also Kojima, for a guy who wanted to do Silent Hills, this is a missed opportunity.

wait...i'm pretty sure i heard Big Boss say this.

I am not 100% sure but something super weird happened before I did the Eli fight. It was extremely weird because Big Boss seemed to be speaking it a language I couldn't understand. It seemed random and afterwards I assumed I must have misheard it but I may i heard him say this.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1O4aX2XNixU Looking at this video of someone recording the fight, it seemed simple enough that I would have understood what he said.

I am REALLY confused now.

EDIT: It may have been Kikongo? I don't know but now I know he was speaking in a different language. Weird.

EDIT: https://youtu.be/g8pFXK3i6G0?t=16m58s turns out i was misrembering. still odd.

That happened in Ground Zeros, it's film burning filter, so that doesn't count.

The color thing is specifically the inability to distinguish specific colors which happened in E51

No actually it's different, it's the same thing that happens during the hospital escape, there is also a tape recording detailing that this happens when he experience heavy trauma to the head/shrapnel.

Yeah they do. In the Airport mission where you have to assassinate some guy there were 2 in the back. There is also an extreme version of that mission.

edit: total stealth version

I spotted some at the airport. Not sure if it was part of a mission or side op though.

There is one. In the mission at the airfield for the inspector or whatever. There is a single camera there on one of the buildings.

There is also in in OKB Zero on the left hand side, above of a door.

I remember one in the airport in Africa.

errrr, there are definitely security cams.

Well.. I stand corrected.

Still, it's pretty telling that I didn't even know they existed, as I never once got caught by them or anything.. And there really aren't that many even compared to GZ...

I haven't played the total stealth version, does that add more cameras?

I knew it was a long shot, but Walker Gear's Fulton Ballista doesn't work on the Skulls. There goes that incredibly cheesy strategy.

So why the hell did Quiet even stay silent? Why didn't she just speak Dine, especially after code talker could translate for her. Hell she could have just wrote stuff down too.

'voices' is the best mission for horror vibes. in daytime and at night. day more than night actually, creepy vibes and totally abandoned guard posts in the mist. if there are decoys there, it's pretty easy to get a fright outta them.

1.) Ocelot remarks that she purposefully refuses to write things down, probably because Miller's too much of a twat to believe her.
2.) Code Talker's tapes are capable of curing insomnia, so making him a translator won't help

why does sokolov compliment snake's russian if they're all speaking japanese (or english) in mgs3

When I was a kid I was actually confused why he said that.

Now I understand that for a good portion of the game he is speaking Russian and just hear it in a language we understand.

what the fuck is up with Mission 45, who even designed that insta kill tank at the end

That is the only thing in the game that gave me some trouble, it just snipes you with perfect accuracy the second it comes over that hill, and even the splash damage one shots you. So bad.

Because Kojima is an asswipe that wanted to permanently take away the best gameplay feature from an 80+ hour save as a sad excuse for trying to get an emotional response from someone out of this trainwreck of a story.

I'd say the two Subsistence missions in TPP alone are better than GZ's whole package.

I did enjoy GZ for sure.

This. The controls alone feel tighter than GZ lol.

Edit: I replayed GZ after TPP, it feels like a massive downgrade.

I wasn't talking about gameplay. If GZ gets the gameplay upgrade from TPP, then it'll be better in every way (minus scale).

Pacing, story, & real Big Boss make it better.

I would say that GZ is a more well-rounded package, if that makes sense. I'm not talking about from a price perspective, but rather it has a straightforward narrative and satisfying side content with the same gameplay. TPP is a much grander scale, but comes with all the pacing and story issues along with resource management.

Also Camp Omega is cooler than any base in this game. Only ones that come close are OKB Zero and Lufwa Valley IMO.

Which one, the one where you can fulton the target one minute into it or the one which you can beat without even leaving the helicopter?

Mission 45 was caca but I want to replay it with the anti-material sniper rifle since it was fun doing all of the Eliminate the Tank Unit sideops with it.

So much crazy talk going on here. If you like GZ that much, what about the OKB Zero mission (not free roam) is worse? Do you want rain?
