Shadow Hearts 4 directed by Matsuzo and developed by Feelplus, set during WW2, featuring the return of Yuri, with nazi super science, Hitler clones, giant aircarriers, Aleister Crowley as an occult-obsessed spy for the Allies, nazi mechs, and a final battle against a super science-empowered Senator Armstrong-like Stalin possessed by Lucifer is gonna be pretty sweet.

I'll start with my general feelings of what I feel would satisfy people. I think it's about time Sony Japan...snip

I feel Sega...snip

Capcom is...snip

Square Enix, there's not much to say...snip

Basically, I think it's time for a lot of developers to get their shit together. We're nearly two years in. We're hitting the half-way point of the generation soon, and it's time to actually start delivering news that inspires faith and confidence. The beginning wasn't easy, and that's fair enough, but at some point, you need to be focused and hit your stride. You can't be left behind. There doesn't have to be half a dozen new big announcements, but I imagine most people would be satisfied with a couple, as well as some more information on existing titles like Persona, FF, TLG, Bloodborne DLC etc.

Plus, the general pessimism on here can be overwhelming sometimes.

It's more like a delusional dream.
well said, really, not much I would even add to that. PS is supposed to be about something for everyone, so just bring the unique, high quality games we expect. Gravity Rush remake, sequel, TLG, and one new IP announcement would be enough for me from Sony Japan.

How dare you? WKC is awesome!
It was not.

Was it? Was it? Was it really?

Actually, don't answer that. You're going to say it was, and I'm going to be incredulous again, and it's going to never end.
No, I played WKC for over 60+ hours of gameplay. It has the potential to be another Phantasy Star Online. But it's potential sadly was wasted on poor voice acting and cut-scenes, generic graphics, enemy/level design and art in general. It honestly felt nothing like the realistic heavy animation of the original reveal trailer. It transformed into something ungodly. The only reason it's not unanimously crapped on is because you saw some gem of hope with the gameplay, but yeah, they really messed that up. Guess they had to release it to pay the bills or something.

My wish-list and most interesting games so far I've seen on PS. I don't care when they are announced but knowing they exist and seeing updates on the ones that are announced would be amazing. Between TGS/Paris/PSX, I hope most of the list gets light shed on it.

Rime
The Last Guardian
Gran Turismo 7
Wild
Dreams
SFV
Gravity Rush
Uncharted 4
TLOU 2
Devil May Cry 5
Virtua Fighter 6
Dragon Quest 11
Dissidia
FF15
NinoKuni or Dark Cloud sequel
JRPG with some realistic/mature themes for once
Infamous
Horizon

I think it's time to start looking forward to SCEE's conference anyway. Not too long now. SCEJ/A had a good run, but we can't blame them for disappointing everyone with their conference. It happens. We can always move on. We just need to remember that.

While Japan falls behind, Europa continues to gain momentumum.

Crash bandicoot 4, GT7, Heavy Rain 2 confirmed!

TGS isn't looking likely for GT7 as it's currently rumored that he's going to be attending the Frankfurt Auto Show, which takes place during TGS. Although he could still attend the press conference and then fly there afterwards, but he wouldn't be around to demo it and do interviews.

I haven't heard that... Is there a date he is rumored to be there? I just moved to Frankfurt and would jump at a chance to see him, especially if they are unveiling a VGT or something like that.

...It'd be nice to start showing games like Vanquish and Binary Domain again. Games that appeal to core gamers...

*looks at their sales figures*

I want a Skies of Arcadia 2 and Virtua Fighter 6 but any of our goals are going to be a crapshoot; it's what got Sega in this position to begin with. You'd have great games that sold well, great games that sold diddly (VALKYRIA CHRONICLES), bad games that sold well, and bad games that sold badly.

I mean, this is a new generation with the monkey of Dogma off the back of the industry, but it needs to be said.

Plus, Sega has an escape hatch to PC anyways.

I think the Bugatti and Hyundai VGT's are going to be unveiled on the 17th, so i'd assume it would be then if he's going to be there.

Verendus pls.

Things I want out of this conference:
Persona 5 release date
Gravity Rush 2 announced (with GR1 remaster on PS4)
Level 5 announcing their PS4 RPG
Bloodborne DLC announced
New trailers for The Last Guardian, Dragon Quest XI and FFXV.

Everything else will be a really nice surprise. I wonder if Sega is actually developing a new IP or if it's ''just'' a new Yakuza that they're going to announce on the 15th.
Also imo Capcom might be cooking something....

The crazy thing is those are all amazing but realistic predictions/wishes. It is why I am looking forward to this so much.

I give up on expecting anything from Level-5 if their PS4 game doesn't look great. At this point, I consider them more of a toy company than video game developer. Mainly focusing on exploiting Japanese children for which these standardized child games (LBX, Youkai, Snack World,...) are just some tool alongside anime to get the same merch train running over and over again. They've obviously got the formula right, but that isn't exactly of interest to me. And the things left inbetween these ,,multimedia projects'' lately, i.e. Fantasy Life or Ninokuni, weren't that great either.

They make video games that kids buy and they're a toy company now?

There is Level-5's game that is yet to be seen. Do you feel this is the appropriate venue for this game, and if it is, what kind of game are you looking for? Would you be happy with a sequel to an old IP like Ni no Kuni, or would you prefer a new IP?

All I want from this event is Ni No Kuni 2. But if they announce some other JRPG for PS4, I'd be interested as well.

Bandai Namco is a significant publisher in Japan, so is there anything you'd want to see from them? New entries in franchises like Soulcalibur, Tekken for PS4 finally, or would you prefer seeing something entirely different from them?
No/Don't care.

Do you think it's possible to see something from Capcom besides what is already announced? Titles like DMC, Resident Evil, or even titles that may be unexpected such as a new IP, or revisits to older franchises?

Not interested.

How about Square Enix? They have a bunch of stuff on the way. There are several titles they have announced like FFXV, KH3 etc. so would you prefer new information on those existing titles, or do you still want to see new announcements from them?

Wouldn't mind if they skipped TGS. Just give me release dates and release some games.
(I wouldn't mind seeing NieR or FF7R gameplay, but I think that's a while out - E3 2016 perhaps?)

What about Sony? Would you be satisfied with another look at TLG, and Bloodborne DLC, or is it time you feel to finally see something else from them too on the PS4?

The only thing from Sony that will interest me is a JRPG. Currently, I am not a fan of anything from Sony first party.

Around what level of content do you want to see in order to be satisfied? It's obviously not going to be E3, so how do your expectations vary? Are you looking for a couple of new games to be announced that capture your interest, or do you want to see several new announcements, plenty of information on existing games, and some notable surprises?

What's it going to take to destroy your soul basically?

Ni No Kuni 2 is all I need.

They make video games that kids buy and they're a toy company now?

At this point, they clearly plan many of their franchises not to be great video games, but they directly aim to sell toys, anime and other merchandise, among which the games are only one of several driving factors (next up, Snackworld) - I guess ever since they struck gold with Inazuma Eleven, then LBX. And from what I read, this obvious goal correlates with the complexity of these games (meaning, not being children-friendly games, but straight up children's games). What I've read about Youkai is that it's an even more dumbed down Pokemon.
So yeah, if their PS4 project doesn't look too hot, I don't really expect much from them anymore as videogame developer (from a hardcore gamer's POV) and simply consider them a company for children's entertainment.

Watch and see SE coming up with Final Fantasy XIII: Super Lightning Edition

J/K, J/K please put down your pitchforks and torches, people!
Lightning rules, hater drools :P

I want new game similar to Until Dawn. Not similar in theme or story but similar in that kind of gameplay. Something equally tense and exciting.

More JRPGs would be good I guess although I'd kill for one where the main character is not from the usual teenage boy generator that Japan usually produce.

I'd kill for a Space Adventure from Naughty Dog. Something along the lines of Cowboy Bebop where you can travel from one planet to the next.

The definitive conclusion to the saga. Now in the earth, your mission is to help Lightning to accustom to her new life here, with you as her husband. /jk

Now seriously, I would buy the FF-XIII trilogy on the ps4, they should still release it, to earn some extra money to make the other games.

You said this similarly on E3 2015. But you also said something similar on psx...

Honestly, looking back at psx. It wasn't a disappointment. GAF hypers ruined it for everyone else.

I'm going with an open mind for TGS like I did with e3 and be totally down with whatever gets announced. Anything I wished will be a bonus.

Umm what?

The blog gets big stuff as well as alot of awesome small stuff.

It doesn't get unannounced AAA games (world reveal) - that kind of big. It gets BETA info, game info (AAA games or otherwise), release dates, firmware updates, change of service announcements, event announcements and indie announcements but that's about it.

Where did that Sony JRPG rumor come from again? I'm talking about the one that would "rival" Final Fantasy.

From Verendus.

I mean, it got Hardware: Rivals today. It got Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection when that was announced. It could be something interesting.

Ohh for sure but Sony isn't going to reveal a AAA game through the blog. It's going to always be a conference with press exposure. I could see a Gravity Rush PS4 Port/Remake getting announced at the blog. Leaving the sequel for the show...

In terms of third party, I'd like to see the new JRPG from Level 5, Deep Down or whatever has become of it, Ys, and some surprises. Hopefully a new Monster Rancher or Kessen from Koei Tecmo.

If any L5 game is getting a sequel, it's the one with western appeal (Ni no Kuni). Plus it's still fresh in gamers' minds, Rogue Galaxy isn't .

I don't know why, but I have a feeling their other PS4 game is online-focused, but I hope I'm wrong.

Verendus, why you tease us with Sony Japan? ;-(

I honestly wonder who they would pick to work on a big jrpg project. Guerilla did the right thing by hiring devs that made great games in the genre they are working on. Hope Sony japan does the same with that jrpg.
