Our remaining road games:

Atlanta
Carolina
Tampa
St.Louis
Miami
Washington

I think we split with Atlanta. And the way things are looking right now, we'll probably beat Carolina and Tampa at home. Not to mention our Carolina game is the last game of the season, where we might be resting starters anyway.

But I don't see why we won't win all the other road games.
I'm sure someone can/will surprise us with a game.. but this schedule is a blessing.

Remaining Home Games:
Giants
Falclowns
Pats
Cowgirls
Jets
Bucks
Panthers

Our toughest games are all at home. In probably the biggest home-field advantaged venue in pro-football at least by crowd noise standards. The dome seats 68,000 and is compact with a cement roof. It amps the crowd noise on it's own. I've never been in a louder sports venue ever. Honestly. My ears ring after big games. The only place comparable is Tiger stadium, but it's a different type of energy in there, that is more intimidating to a college level player. I think pro's wouldn't have as much trouble in Tiger Stadium though.

Really?

Yup, I'm telling you that cement roof and the acoustics of the dome make that one of the loudest sports venues around. During the Falcons vs Saints dome re-opener, and the Eagles Playoff win in 2006, I can remember that almost muffled like sound mixed with a ripping sound in my ears when things get really loud. Like being too close to a speaker at a concert. Shit was intense.

If college games had enclosed roofs, it would be pretty scary.

The divisional playoff game against the Eagles was nuts. I actually heard the hit planted on Reggie's kickoff return on the balcony at the other side of the stadium. I thought he was dead.

Yeah that Reggie hit was brutal. I thought he was done for the game for sure.
That Deuce run into the endzone, where he willed his way in for the game-winning TD. Was possibly the loudest moment I've ever heard in the dome... it's a toss up between that and the blocked punt in the falcons / saints dome opener. That moment is hard to describe to anyone that didn't go through katrina, lived in mold and rubble for a year, and almost lost the team to san antonio. That blocked punt was an orgasm.
I'm not afraid to admit it, but I cried at that punt. Our whole section was teared up.

God just listen to that...
Last play of win over the Eagles. Saint first Championship appearance.

I wasn't there for the 'Dome reopening, but I can imagine it was wild from all of the emotion. I try to go to New Orleans for at least two games every season--I'm from Shreveport.

So, should I start Donald Driver vs Vikings or Devin Hester vs Lions?
My other two starting wideouts are Andre Johnson and Santonio Holmes

For TE who do you start? Todd Heap(vs NE), Greg Olsen(vs Det), or Shiancoe(vs GB)?

Detroit had some serious problems covering Shockey when we played them. We burned them in the middle of the field all day long.
Also, NE shutdown Tony Gonzalez last week who is a much better TE then Todd Heap.

Yeah, I'm going to go with Olsen. I don't understand why Chicago won't get him the ball. He's probably their best receiver right now...

Any ideas if I should start McFadden (vs Houston) or Rice (vs NE) for RB?

I'd normally go with McFadden based on matchup alone, but McFadden has not been consistent at all and despite the fact the raiders *should* be a running team, it doesn't necessarily mean they'll run the ball all day.

I'll echo everyone saying start Driver over Hester. Though Santana Moss' big week against Detroit's lack of deep ball coverage may make me reconsider. Thing is Driver's been an 8+ point scorer each week, I like consistency.

Why do you have three TE's on your roster? I would start Olsen though.

Houston has given up big fantasy days to opposing RB's, but I would never want to start a Raider. Does McFadden have a presence in the passing game? Rice is a consistent 8-11 point guy. They'll run up the gut on the Patriots for sure, but Rice's big fantasy problem is Willis taking all the red zone carries. I would start Rice, never rely on a Raider.

Explain to me why I'm 1-2.

Is that a 6 person league? You're 1-2 cause you aren't getting production at the RB position, and you have guys who have had really down weeks (Jennings, Jones, Smith and even Brees last week). I imagine you've also faced teams with huge # weeks, (Eagles D, Frank Gore, Chris Johnson). 1-2 isn't a bad position to dig out of, as long as there aren't more than 2 3-0 teams. 0-3 is panic mode.

Yeah. 6 deep league. Steve Smith is really, really screwing me. Jennings putting up a big 0 threw me some shit too. The irony is that my team has scored the most points in the league overall - but everyone I've been matched up with has also put up twice their normal score when up against me.

Yea, Relying on Raiders has screwed me, ESPN's predictions just had me questioning who to start. I should know better, they always *always* overrate McFadden in their predictions.

Because the last time Cutler tried forcing to Greg, he threw 4 picks. Olsen is a risky play in fantasy because he's who every defense keys in on immediately.

Of course, I'd still take him against Detroit.

Hey guys, every week my frend and I pick five games against the spread over at Grind It Out Sports, and I'm 9-6 so far this year. This week I pick the: Ravens/Pats, Jets/Saints, Cowboys/Broncos, Titans/Jags, and Vikings/Packers games. Check out the post if you have some time. Also, I'm still alive in my survival pool and it would be nice if the Giants could keep taking care of business. I know the Chiefs are terrible, but strange things happen in Arrowhead, or whatever that stadium is called now.

Hey guys, I wrote quick Recap of last week's games over on my fledgeling sports blog. Check it out if you have a couple of minutes to kill. I'm not really sure if I want to keep the recaps short or spend a day or two on it and flush it out a bit.

We've got enough annoying 49er fans here, we don't need one in here pimping his site every week. Though site pimping sure is better than whatever it is Smoke does. You wanna write and talk about football, do it here and stop fishing for hits.

The NFL will be in playoffs yes, your team won't be though.

sadly for you, we'll make another avatar bet for the next cards-niners game. you already know the outcome of said game so i dont see why you should bother changing your avatar.

I hear you man, I'll tone it down. That's the problem with having a site, sometimes you have to pimp yourself out.

9ers fans, are you ready to be bollerized?

i actually wanted bulger to start. i think boller gives the rams a better chance to win :/

i'm nervous about the game because i can't remember the last time we were double digit favorties and i hope we don't blow it :(

Thanks to the Panthers, the Niners might end up with the #1 pick instead!

i have to believe the panthers are going to win 4 or 5 games. they play the bucs twice, the dolphins, the redskins, and the bills.

its debateable on whether they could beat the skins or bills, but the bucs and dolphins (unless thigpen tears it up) look like W's for the panthers.

and WE better not draft a qb in the first round. i love nate davis and i'm confident he will be our franchise QB. he just needs time..... time shaun hill can buy him for a couple years!

What? Oakland already won a game. Who is Rams going to beat this year?

And it's looking like the last win they might ever see.
They are digressing as a team right now.

Rams have plenty of winnable games left:
Jags, Lions, Cards, Seahawks, Texans

And the Browns look flatout horrible.

And the Rams well get blown out by all of them.

I'd be really surprised if anyone beat out Cleaveland for #1 pick, to be honest, they just look absolutely terrible in all aspects. At least the Rams have Steven Jackson.

Also, I'm hoping Singletary is stressing that we should not look past the Rams, as that will only result in us embarrassing ourselves tomorrow >_> We had better come to play tomorrow.

i dont want to just beat the rams, i want to put the game out of reach in the first half. i can't take these fucking nail biters anymore. we've had too many of those games the past few years (usually on the wrong side of the score too)

Really when is Aaron Ross coming back, the guy plays through a dislocated shoulder 2 years ago and a fucking hamstring is keeping him out for the 3rd straight week. At least dockery is back, like to see the full depth of the secondary for once.
