Errr I don' understand how someone can see underwear here

It's the same exercise pants with a patch of a different color and that's it.
Bike/Compression shorts don't have a patch like that. They explicitly gave a character with no reason to wear panties panties so they could get a panty shot.

i don't fucks with lol /dota - what are runes?

Basically like gems were in SFxT. Items you buy and equip to a sheet that give very small stat boosts. So basically, you absolutely need them if you want to be competitive, so you are forced to dump fake money into it until you get what you need (which is a lot for a lot of different set ups), leaving you dry enough that you want to be considering spending real money on characters.

They might offer some free stuff, but haven't given much more info.

We don't know for sure but they specifically said that they want to make what relates to actual play to be accessible without paying more, thus free balance updates and characters being available for purchase with in-game currency.

Cosmetic dlc doesn't fit that criteria and is the area that one would think Capcom expects to make money.

They mentioned during a Q&A at EVO that youd be able to buy costumes with Fight Money. Hopefully that wasn't something the Capcom rep was just wrong about.

Thanks, all.

Anyway, still holding out hope that we're getting Q.
His animations/physics would be too dope in this engine.

It's a dual colored boxer shorts...

Various GAFfers have said before that Outfits/costumes would still be paid for, and can't be unlocked by playing through the game.

hrmm, not a fan of that at all.

hopefully Capcom doesn't go that route, or fan backlash stops them from implementing it down the road.

I know of male pants that are like that but skirts? Then again, I don't know much about female fashion.
Those kinds of skirts do exist, so it wouldn't surprise me if that was the case. It's mainly to provide more coverage for girls who prefer to wear thinner underwear. In Karin's case, she wears work-out shorts, so the coverage from the skirt's underwear cover comes off as unnecessary. The only way Karin could do something about it is if she removes the coverage, but I'm not sure what her school (at the time of Alpha 3) would think about uniform modifications.

Are there schools that actually have skirts like that?

I think Karin is supposed to be one of those "bloomer wearing girl but she puts something under/on top of it" anime tropes
Is this even a thing? I watch quite a lot of chinese cartoons but I've never seen this archetype before.

The one private school that I know of have skirts that are made in that way. I only know because I had to go uniform shopping with one of my private school friends (I was taught in public schools, but I also had to pick up something at the same store).

There are several versions of this type of trope. I'd say the most popular one is the girl that uses biker shorts under skirts - which Karin also is.
I know of the 'biker shorts under skirts' trope but I've never seen any character wear something over those biker shorts which is what you seemed to be talking about.

How does Urien's underwear work? You'd think it'd come undone with how much he moves.

Do we even know what Rashid's underwear looks like? He's been revealed for like a week now.

This thread, the old Smash Roster Speculation threads, the CURRENT Smash Roster Speculation threads.........

I guess this is just the nature of the beast with these sorts of things LOL

That makes sense. But did they exercise like that? How does it work logistically?
Usually the Ancient Greeks did this in terms of their underwear.

Urien obviously has less cloth to work with, so he edited this method accordingly. They're tied in a way that they won't undo themselves during exercise.

Capcom did say that some alternate costumes can be earned with Fight Money.

You sure about that? Last I heard they said that anything that is gameplay related can be earned in the game. Cosmetic stuff like costumes obviously doesn't affect gameplay, so I believe you'll pay real money for those unless they specified more on that.

Yeah, I can't see it being anything else. Though, that would make getting meter pretty rough. So, maybe it'll have multiple uses? V-Trigger is up in the air though. I have no idea on that.
I mean, chun doesn't gain vmeter with her skill. Vskill for meter gain isn't universal

Someone asked about alternate costumes at the EVO panel, & the guys from Capcom said that some alts can be earned with Fight Money.

Blizzard has 1 exclusive F2P skin per character w/ the rest being cash in HOTS, seems like a good model to copy, rewards investment.

She does. You have to hit with it though.

I guess what he means is not all characters are going to have a way to reliably build vmeter. Chun's vtrigger being really good kind of compensates for that. Also keep in mind that in the current build CC's build vmeter, so thats a good way for characters to build it as well.
