The salt overload from Abel (A SF4 character no less) taking Urien's spot would be mind numbing. It'd make the Mika drama look quaint.

Well we did get two reveal predictions right so far. Laura is practically a given at BGS, so I expect we'll be right about that too.
But I think we need a Urien or Alex reveal to really seal the deal. It's what everyone is most iffy about at the moment.
I'll admit, I'm decidedly meh on Karin. Her inclusion does nothing for me either way. BUT. If this means that the Siliconera stuff is true, and the remaining 4 characters are Zen, Laura, and mother fucking Alex and Urien then holy shit am I hyped.

Alex and urien now also confirmed I think. Also Karin looks horrible lol face design wise. Looks like Cammy on an alternate outfit. Sfv looks great animation wise but some of these character design looks downright NRS level bad.
- Niitsuma saying that we won't get anymore Darkstalkers characters in Vanilla MvC3, only to reveal Hsien-Ko as an unlockable character before the game launched.
- Capcom said that the 5th USF4 character wasn't Decapre, but it was totally her.
Brazil Game Show is the first confirmed event on the 8th of October which is when NYCC starts as well, although NYCC lasts for three days and anything could happen during those three days.
Good Abel play is one of the best things you can see in USF4, so I wouldn't be mad.
The thing with Urien is that they also have to make him fun in this engine and I don't see it yet, but I'm hopeful.
Karin doesn't do anything for me so far, she's kind of a bland character. Her offense looks fun, but that's pretty common in 5 so far.

They could just as easily reveal Laura on the 8th & Alex on the 9th. Either way, Laura has to come first so Alex doesn't steal her thunder.
Yeah, I don't expect both on the same day and I think Ono confirmed we were getting a reveal at BGS on the 8th which is no doubt Laura. Alex (if he does get revealed at NYCC) would most definitely be after Laura.

Hm. We got two in September, basically within a week of each other. So we could get two in October as well. Maybe Laura and Alex in October (would fit, with it being NY and all.) and then Zen and Urien at Capcom Cup in December?

Agreed. After having both Rashid & possibly Laura sharing space with highly-anticipated veterans, Zen having the entire month of November to himself would be nice. And Urien would make sense as the last character in the initial roster.
As much as I'm hoping the last two are not Alex and Urien, at this point I'm convinced it will be them. The recent interview descriptions, although seemingly contradictory are not cut and dry enough to rule them out. Unless it's verbatim from a written PR, you will often be coming up with wording on the fly, even if you know the talking points. So, there's some room for interpretation in that interview response. For all we know, the 4 new characters are internally grouped as all returning alpha characters, which they are, and they're just choosing not to use that specific language to keep people guessing.

Honestly new characters havent gotten that much hype from the fans so far. Necalli just sort of happened, and the reason Rashid blew up was cause the leak of his video was on a really bad day:/ while im all for new characters theyll never get as much take off from the beggining as an established character like Ken or Karin. If you want new characters to be center stage you have to make the ratio of new characters larger than returning but weve seen that back fire majorly during New Generation which bums me out cause i like everyone from that game and subsequent entries more than all the returning cast.

Three in Oct and 0 in November is only reason why I have a feeling that we might not get anything from NYCC even it could be perfect for Alex's reveal. However, they could focus on announcing other modes for Street Fighter V and hyping up Zen for the announcement. It's possible that Zen or Urien could be a final boss

I dunno about saying outright no Decapre, but I do remember a lot of "hahaha very few people have guessed right" comments when a fuckton of people expected one of the dolls, Decapre being the most common guess

I hope more people can see the difference between refusing to admit an unrevealed character when directly asked because of a NDA and um... deliberately creating a false select screen graphic with the sole intention of misleading people three months down the line?
Yeah, they did not flat out say, no its not her. It was Ono were just trolling by saying nobody guessed it yet despite every imaginable character being guessed. It was kinda funny in retrospect.

I think Urien will be the last character revealed and will be the boss.
He never said anything about Necalli at all iirc. He only mentioned the other 3 new characters.
