I've had 3 sublime engrams drop. I don't know exactly what it means but they've been the same 3 boots.
Sublime engrams contain the PlayStation exclusive gear.

Year 1 = Vanilla/HOW/TDB, Year 2 = TKK
Most of the year 1 exotics have year 2 versions which are the same item but with higher stats to make them align with year 2 content. You can buy year 2 versions of year 1 exotics you had at the new terminals in the room where all the class trainers are in the tower. They cost Legendary Marks. This is only if you still want the item and it to be viable in PvE, otherwise it's the same in the crucible.

I think if you replay the story missions they show the cutscenes again.
Dark Below did the same thing in terms of new content opening up after the story ends. If you did all of Eris' main purple bounties you unlocked a strike on Earth.

Used 25 Three of Coins and got 5 exotics; 4th Horseman and Tenesto, and three armor pieces, none of which were for my main (Titan), but they'll serve nicely for my alts.
I have to admit I'm not crazy about the Dreadknought patrol stuff at this point; I don't seem to be finding many chests (at least ones I can open), and I've spent maybe three to four hours wandering. I'm not a huge fan of the "figure it out on your own" mentality, as I don't have endless hours to spend like some, and I want to make the most of my time. The Court stuff is good, I happened by and was able to do several rounds with a couple randoms. Also, what the hell is the giant thing on chains that lifts and turns and crashes back down? Does it serve a purpose, or is it just there for the hell of it?

I just bought a disc copy of Destiny + expansions + Taken King, popped it into my console and now have to download a 17.5gb patch. What the fuck? Why was this not on the disc? I have pretty flimsy internet so it's taken most of the day to download just half. Not impressed at all.
The game is destiny. You need destiny to play destiny. Get the Legendary edition which comes with all the DLC at the cheapest price.

Just asking, but what is going on with the demo? Decided to download the game again to give it another go, due to fact I have a new PS4. The demo downloaded 17 gigs and than again 17 gigs and an update. When I start the game now, it starts with the Taken King screen, and a vid from landing on mars. After that I can create a character and the ' demo' seems to begin when the original demo began...in Old Russia.
Seems to good to be true that I downloaded the full game for free on PSN, but then again...checked my HDD and a 37,40 GB demo is ridiculous. Anyone know what's going on here?

Alright. Here's my sexy Exo Warlock and the scout rifle. I'm exhausted and happy. Thanks to all the amazing DGAFers I played with. My GF is making lasagna tonight and I am taking a break from Destiny until after the Bears game tomorrow.
Also, I think Kadey asked what we had in our team? Three Warlocks and three Titans. All Sunsingers and Defenders for Oryx.

yes unless you change console brand, xbox will not transfer to playstation but 360 will transfer to xbox one, ps3 to ps4.

After some time, I've decided to get into this game. I've bought the Legendary Edition for the PS4, so I will be starting from the very beginning and taking it easy.
I've also had a look at the Destiny OT, but I find it a bit overwhelming for now. Is there a place where I can find a list of gaffers that play Destiny or that are starting the game for the first time?

Okay, thanks. I was hoping Activision made a mistake or someone at Sony messed up. Gonna try levelling up and see what happens. Seems kinda strange that it's downloading TKK too since it cuts you of after level 8.
Edit: seems te be the demo indeed. Checked in the store and could still buy the game

I too am curious about this. I keep seeing people talking about the exotic engram farming, but then I see them say they were using 45 of the coins, or even 100+, which makes it sound like it's really only a thing for people with a ton of Strange Coins to blow laying around. Is it even worth it if you've only got 10 SCs to spend?

It seems to be worth a gamble right now, before Bungie reduces the drop rate for them, which they've already said they would probably be doing. With five Three of Coins, you have a pretty good chance of getting an exotic for basically 7 Strange Coins, or about half price at least. Nothing is guaranteed of course. Strange coins are much easier to come by now, so even if you get nothing, it shouldn't be hard to make them back just through normal gameplay.
I was pissed too at first until I realized that some of these are carrying over to Year 2 and then once you buy them from Xur you can get them from the Year 2 board.
Like, I got a Truth at 170. Which sucked, until I saw it was on the board at 280. Just have to buy with 120 marks.
or you could buy two pieces for 13 each, for 26 coins, and be guaranteed to get two...
