Thanks L.O.R.D, I was going to post this next week once I had a chance to go through it all. They're also bringing an indie game to PS4 as well, It's called Gravity Error.

Their new titles look really good and I wish them the best of luck with this.

Also some great news out of gamers day is the new Naruto game is going to be localised in Arabic for Middle East launch :)

Update from the dev

Hello everyone,

Thank you for your interest in our upcoming games.

We only knew about our participation in Sony's Gamers Day a few days before the event so we had to do our best to get our games in showable state for the event but we aren't currently ready for proper world wide unveiling just yet.

We will however work toward polishing our materials and aim to do a focused press event in October and of course upload everything in Arabic and English.

Since releasing Episode 1 of Unearthed back in May 2013 we have been listening to the feedback from users as well as reviews worldwide and we took it all to heart and we promise it will clearly show when we announce our new projects soon.

We did change the name of of "Unearthed" to be the Arabic name it was always known as which is "Al Rekaz". Also, the engine is of course UE4 and not UE3 as mentioned in the original post. Finally, we are dropping the episodic model in favor of a full length game this time.

I would actually ask everyone to please avoid off-screen recordings simply because they don't show the games properly (and they are very short anway).

We will be making a proper post on NeoGaf as soon as we can.

I remember this.

I interviewed the developers, and they were like "no, Uncharted definitely isn't an inspiration".

But once I sat down with the game for the level, well, it was a straight dollar store ripoff. The shooting was spotty, the cover system wonky, and the AI is near braindead. Shut that shit off so quick I feel like this is some sort of lie.

Also can we stop the Uncharted jokes. These guys have shown that they're looking to move past that and this is great news for the Middle East games industry in general that we are seeing more and more titles come out of that region.

Gravity Error is from them ?
here the steam page for the game

its from another dev , maybe he work for them ?

Maybe it'd be easier to take the whole "moving past that" thing more seriously if they dropped the awful rip-off name. It's not like they'd be losing sales by disassociating the sequel from the first game or anything. (That being said, it's definitely a good thing for the gaming industry to become more culturally diverse. That alone doesn't excuse poor quality and cheap rip-offs, though.)

They are ambitious and tried to bite off way more than they could chew with the first game.

Still I wish them the best.

Agree I mean everyone has to cut there teeth somewhere.
I think more diverse developers will hopefully mean more diverse ideas and stories.
Even if unearthed was a rip off I don't know of too many games that feature a woman in hijabi as more than a bystander or helpless person.

I wish them all the best, especially with the horror game. Unearthed looked pretty bad, but it'd be nice if they could use it as a learning experience and improve from there.

Is the game about a character P and another V, and how they are meant to communicate?
(And nobody is really sure, what their full names are supposed to be)

What about the title?

Unearthed 2: Among .... ?

.... snakes?
... mudjaheddins?
... temples?

either way, i just wanted to congratulate them for having success. its nice to see a studio from the middle east having success.

seeing more diverse games would be cooler. i hope they will eventually start something which will all surprise us.

lol

Still though, it's nice to see games from parts of the world other than "the usual suspects."

It would be nicer still if they made good games that worked within their technical skills, instead of aiming to clone the work of one of the most technically accomplished studios in the world.

ممتاز. We can see more improvements and more games from the region and that's good. Give them time, game development in that region still at the beginning.

Nice to see game development taking off in other parts of the world. Let's not mock their first attempt and wait to see what their newer stuff will be like!

Good luck, making games is much harder than many people here realize.

If anything, they should be lauded for bringing in the scientic methodology into gaming: Standing on the shoulders of giants. Or in this case, on the shoulders of Naughty Dog.
They did properly cite the Uncharted games in the credits?
