UC3's enemy spawns are baffling to me. Like, the combat arenas are fine. I love stuff like the bobbing platforms in the shipyard, and the crumbling desert city. But the game constantly puts shit behind the player.
The sandstorm fight is an utter mess, with enemies spawning all over the fucking place - a cacophony of riot soldiers and rocket launcher enemies. It sums up most of the game's encounters.
The amount of forced walk in UC3 is heinous. Cartagena, Yemen, the fucking desert...these sections kill the game's flow whenever they crop up. And I like me some games with good flow. I could maybe cut the desert some slack if it was the only example of forced walk in the game (those first two are completely unnecessary, btw - the worst kind of forced walk).
Disappointing, but not a terrible game overall imo. Graphics are some of the best on PS3, puzzles are alright-to-good, and I can enjoy some of the combat sections on lower difficulties (though I finished it on Crushing

). I have to wonder what was going through the designers' minds when working through some of those encounters. Deep down I hope the collection version will tweak some of the enemy spawns/compositions, but it's doubtful. 6/10 sounds right.
