Yeah that's pretty grimey that they continued to sling mud at him especially on this day.

WTF?

Is this a joke?
You'd have to be a complete dumbass to fall for this.
Oh, why *hello* 32% of the population. Didn't see you there.
and Duceppe is invited to thoseAdd to the fact that this is about foreign policy and it will probably go quickly under the radar, unfortunately. It was probably Trudeau's best performance so far and at least showed hope that someone could beat Harper. At best we are going to see the best jab/attack clips on news bulletin
The real freakshow will be Friday night on TVA. Channel has a huge amount of viewers and is quite populist. Here comes the Niqab again.
WTF?

Nothing wrong with what he said, seems to be an issue with a no right or wrong answer.WTF?

Yeah personal choice is important, but you'd be pretty naive if you think that alot of these women have a 'choice' to take it off. People are making nun comparisons, but I dont think any nun will be met with abuse if they decided to stop being nuns.

The 'wrong' in what he said, is that it is completely non-controversial, but he's making it seem like it is. No political party is suggesting women should cover their faces. Basically no one wants to do this - I think we have, what, 1,000 - 2,000 women wearing the Niqab in Canada?
Harper is situating his statement as some sort of female empowering thing, tugging at the heartstrings of the populace. It, however, would be the equivalent of saying "I will never tell my daughter that she is a terrible, ugly person because she is a woman. That's not our Canada".
Okay, yeah - and?
No, there is a wrong answer and it is self evident.Nothing wrong with what he said, seems to be an issue with a no right or wrong answer.

That exchange on citizenship and terrorism was something else, Harper looked like a real jabroni.

Have you been in Canada the last 8 years? Kinda hard to beat the damage Harper has caused.Hypocritical for the Liberals to criticize environment issues when historically they had by far the worst record.
Reducing emissions wasn't considered as big a priority back then as it is now, wasn't it?Hypocritical for the Liberals to criticize environment issues when historically they had by far the worst record.
Who is this directed at, and how big and impenetrable is the rock they live under?
I would respect Harper more if he just came out and admitted he's racist
Hey! Guess where the Liberals stand to gain the most seats right now!Yes and I'm saying that in broad swaths of the country no one cares and they didn't like him in the first place. Pierre Trudeau is revered in Montreal and Ontario. No one outside of those regions is going to bat an eye if you criticize him on his death day.
Does anyone know where I can watch a replay of Yesterday's debate? Missed it because I was traveling![]()
Paul Wells said:But frankly, with each passing day Mulcair has to worry a little less about that next voter who might be tempted to vote NDP for the first time. He will soon have to start worrying about keeping voters who did vote NDP last time, and maybe about those whove done it often. His campaign is in public-opinion doldrums, nowhere more so than in Quebec.
Mulcair's jab at Rae for switching parties Provincially to Federally is so full irony LOL, mister who likes to spout his experience as short lived Environment Minister as the Quebec Liberal MNA, LOL
Hey! Guess where the Liberals stand to gain the most seats right now!
if Harper lived in Qc, he'd be part of the CAQ which is more Right wing than the PLQ and more white white and likes to compete for the identity vote. Also to defend Mulcair on that point, the QC Liberals aren't Liberals, they are Federalists. If Harper lived in QC he'd be a QC Liberal as well, as would Trudeau, Rae, etc.

This is a good read. I'm starting to think those "Just Not Ready" ads backfired hard against the CPC. Casting Trudeau as someone you should have low expectations on might have been the best thing that happened to his campaign.
even if the Liberals are up 1% in this poll, the Cons still win the plurality of seatsIn Ontario, the Conservatives (35%) have closed the gap with the Liberals (34%) and are now tied for the lead, with the NDP (27%) and Green Party (4%) trailing. Ipsos also boosted the sample size of the poll in the GTA in order to understand how the parties are performing in this key area:
In Toronto proper, the NDP (34%) and Liberals (33%) are tied for first, with the Conservatives (28%) in third, and Green Party (4%) trailing.
In the 905 area surrounding Toronto, the Conservatives (43%) have the advantage over the Liberals (36%), NDP (19%), and Green Party (3%).
In the rest of Ontario there exists a tight three way race among the Conservatives (33%), Liberals (33%) and NDP (29%).
In Quebec, the NDP (34%) vote has softened as their lead narrows over the Liberals (24%) and rallying Tories (21%), with the Bloc (18%) not far behind. The Green Party (2%) lags.
In British Columbia, the Liberals (35%) lead the Conservatives (30%) and NDP (27%) in another three-way race, with the Green Party receiving 8% of the vote province-wide and 1% voting for some other party.
In Alberta, the Conservatives (50%) lead the Liberals (26%), NDP (19%), Greens (2%) and other parties (2%).
In Saskatchewan and Manitoba, the Conservatives (38%) lead the Liberals (30%), NDP (30%) and Green Party (2%).
In Atlantic Canada, the Liberals (52%) are holding a solid lead over the NDP (24%), Conservatives (19%) and Green Party (3%), while 2% would vote for some other party.
It's the jacket or a commercial for every province this was cheaper.Harper really loves his Canada jacket. He's wearing it again today..
it's okay as long they don't contradict each otherI don't see what the issue would be with having different messages for different provinces. Different provinces have different priorities.

Liberals 33% (Unchanged), Conservatives 32% (+5), NDP 27% (-3)

even if the Liberals are up 1% in this poll, the Cons still win the plurality of seats
more work ahead to fight for Ontario
Wait, Conservatives closing the gap? Since when were the Liberals leading in Ontario?
Wait, Conservatives closing the gap? Since when were the Liberals leading in Ontario?
The conservatives were sub 30% nationally and in 3rd place a few days ago. Libs looked like they were going to take most of the GTA. Don't know what happened since then.
