Oh shit I forgot we put literal ground up yoga mats into all our breads. Well if that's why all America Bread is better than eurobread, I can live with that.

What goes into magic Eurobread that makes it inherently better? Maybe like, some flour and water? Some yeast perhaps? Smugness?
They put butter on it to hide the taste. What goes into magic Eurobread that makes it inherently better? Maybe like, some flour and water? Some yeast perhaps? Smugness?
You didn't realise I was joking in the post you last quoted me in? I literally said I was laughing at people who are too serious over this.
Its impossible to find flour in the US without added sugar. Haven't we been over this? What goes into magic Eurobread that makes it inherently better? Maybe like, some flour and water? Some yeast perhaps? Smugness?

Impossible!
Good bakeries use less sugar. But that goes for any country. Extra sugar is often used to make the dough rise faster. Real bakers will get up at 3 am to give the dough the time it needs. What goes into magic Eurobread that makes it inherently better? Maybe like, some flour and water? Some yeast perhaps? Smugness?
Oh yes.Being the bread fanatic that I am (judge restaurants by their bread), nothing is better than warm freshly made bread with a crispy crust. Mmmm, I can have bread for dessert.
Less corn syrup than American breads.

Serious or not, European bread is rank 3 at best anyway. Asian bread and bakeries are outstanding. They might actually be #1. Excellent sandwich breads as well.
But is this just another sweeping generalization, like with the cheese? Joke or not?Less corn syrup than American breads.
I bought some cinnamon encrusted tuscano cheese from Trader Joe's yesterday. Your move, Europe

If someone in America calls a Hamburger a sandwich they are not American or are writing some fluff on an advertisement.
Hamburger, Burger and CustomBurgerName (like Jumbo Jack or Whopper) are the only things that are acceptable.
"America has no good cheese....JUST KIDDING! THEY TOTALLY HAVE GOOD CHEESE!"
Oh man you got us good.
Agreed. I think we just have to give Europe time to learn how to bake bread properly and follow in the footsteps of the great American loaf.
Nah, there are Supermarkets that make it fresh at the store, at least where I go. my favorite has the bakery there and open you can see the whole process. Also a wide variety of exotic foods from all over the world. Fresh meats/seafood there too man I am making myself hungry.
I was just trying to show how silly it was that some posters seem to get actually offended by such nonsense opinions. Are people so precious about the cuisine their country is reknowned for?

We got it. You showed us how we're all idiots. Are you finished now? Is there anything left for you in this thread?
Europeans really like toast with butter for some reason. They call it a sandwich lol

And by the same definition, everything that is not *simply* a piece of beef between two slices of bread is NOT a sandwich. The piece of bread with a piece of cheese is, BY DEFINITION, not a sandwich.
Why are you being so hostile? It was just a bit of fun. This thread is about sandwiches not the crisis in Syria.
I'm sure they don't mean to be hostile. It's just that these topics come up often and we want to set the record straight. The skewed perception of American food (in particular) is becoming sickening so yeah, you're going to have some "super defense force" type responses as well as kneejerk reactions. Why are you being so hostile? Relax, this is a light-hearted thread. Not everything has to be serious.
Struggle sandwich is light-hearted. Constantly repeating the same ignorant nonsense (americans have no cheese, americans put sugar cubes in their bread, americans drink corn syrup and bacon while shooting guns) is just trolling. Endless trolling. It's not even a nationalistic or a us vs. you thing, it's just people drive by posting bullshit.
Maybe I'm using the word "sandwich" wrong but these are normal breakfast... things

No, you made stuff up and tried to pass it off as joking.

You seem really upset. Probably because you're an American who guzzles straight bottles of HFCS instead of water, it's fucking with your brain, man. Drink some European water, it's better for you.

This is like the depressing stuff I'd eat back in college. Just buy whatever was the cheapest and try to make something edible from it.
I just need a slice of Sbarro's to remind me what real food is.

Why do people insist on calling bread that you don't toast, toast?
No it's a normal breakfast sandwich that everyone makes and enjoys along with the rest of their breakfast. Nothing depressing about it.
From the pic, to us Americans, it looks like that was going to be toast, but you skipped the toasting.
To us: Butter goes on toast. It's not a sandwich spread, unless you're going to toast your sandwich bread.
