Obviously that's

Y-you can totally see it maybe if you squint and look at something else!

Xanadu Next is such an amazing game, I'm super excited that so many new people will be able to play it.

..and then be disappointed at what the next game to carry the name is.

FINALLY, I can finish Little King's Story, the Vita version is a PowerPoint presentation huhuhu.

Anyway, is LKS be the Vita version or the Wii?

Edit: Read the OP and it is the Wii. Weeeee!

Happy they went with the good version of Little King's Story and not the disgusting moeblob vita shit.

That said, and I say that as someone who absolutely adored Little King's Story on Wii, it hasn't aged super well, graphically. >_>

Its a shame that they went in that direction with TX, but it doesnt seem that bad. If they had kept the same atmosphere and design of XN it would have been so amazing.

It topped the charts on release so Tokyo Xanadu seems to be in the right direction moneywise.

Yeah i'm definately not saying it was the wrong choice or anything, i'm very glad that a falcom game sold really well, but i just remember seeing the first teaser pic and going insane. I was thinking Xanadu Next but in modern apocalyptic tokyo..it would have been sweet.

Still very hyped to play TX when we get it.

I guess they want to start off with Next before doing Tokyo, which makes plenty of sense. Also helps that Next is supposedly fantastic.

From what I've seen of Xanadu Next, it reminds me of Vagrant Story a bit. People who have played it, is that accurate? I hope so, I love VS.

Little King's Story is a cool game that I stopped playing for some reason and never went back to.

I stopped playing due to the lack of pointer controls. WTF were they thinking forcing you to use the joystick? Hopefully they have good mouse controls in the PC version and rework it to run at 60 fps.

Feels so good to be a pc gamer. Lks bought the moment it appears on steam. Have no idea what those other games are, though.

Xanadu Next is part of the 2nd Chapter which is one of the many installments of the very long running Dragon Slayer franchise by Nihon Falcom.

After almost every following game with the Dragon Slayer label was essentially the start of its own sub-series, and each sub-series having multiple games as well.

While each of the series underneath the Dragon Slayer franchise are all very different. It's is one of the longest running Japanese RPG franchises in video game history.

Games such as Legacy of the Wizard on the NES, the Legend of Heroes series, Xanadu, Sorcerian, and few others all fall under this label.

I've been wanting to play Little King's Story. I really hope it gets down to $10 quick enough though. Might pay more if it's a decent port though.

A Steam release for Xanadu Next would definitely get my attention faster than pretty much anything else that could be on deck here. (I'm kind of assuming TX is inevitable, which might not be accurate but nonetheless.)

Xanadu Next is great news; very glad to see an old game so highly regarded as this make its way to US shores for the first time, and especially glad to see XSEED showing a commitment to mining Falcom's classic PC library.

Little King's Story is a pretty shocking but also great announcement; this game was excellent, but greatly underappreciated, on Wii. A PC version should let its visual style shine and hopefully let a lot more people get the chance to try it.

Intrigued about Xanadu NEXT. Will probably buy it someday. Not sure about the others. I'm not a big fan of Musou-like games, I enjoyed One Piece Pirate Warriors for what it was but it's definitely not one of my favorite games.

Sara is porting the entire game to a new engine, isn't she? Technically, it'd be a port.

She's only porting to the Pc version the extra-content that appeared in the later PSP version, and she's enhancing the original game by adding modern features such as widescreen support and HD resolutions.

Fantastic news, though the LKS screens look a bit off. It looks like the viewing angle has been changed, and is missing some screen effects. The palette looks different, and the depth of field looks entirely missing. It makes the package look a lot more sterile. The Wii release was like that to give the whole thing a more miniature, almost tilt-shift look. Still, Little King's Story is my favourite home console game from that generation, so the more people who can play it, the better.

Edit.
On closer inspection, the camera angle may be the same after all. Shadows are still missing though.

Looks like it was confirmed to be an early build. I'll revoke my complaints and hop onboard the appreciation train.

Haven't read through the whole thread yet, but just to comment on some stuff from the first few pages (apologies if old):

Tom played us like a damn fiddle.

Not at all! In addition to announcing three new PC titles, we also showed off complete or near-complete builds of EDF2, EDF4, Nitro+, Cold Steel, SKEV and Popolo. You should be seeing impressions and info popping up for all of those very soon, perhaps with some additional announcements about some of them as well (I know I shared some new info on Popolo that you guys might be interested in, at least!).

Kind of trollish - they know all the attention was on an actual release date for Trails in the Sky SC.

Sadly, we don't have one of those yet! Just a general release window until the game is master-approved. But we'll let you guys know a definitive date as soon as we have one to give!

That's all XSEED mostly does now.

PC games are all we do now? Really? The VAST VAST MAJORITY of our titles, both announced and released in 2015, are for Vita, PS3, PS4 and 3DS. We've now added a few additional PC titles to the mix, but that's on top of an already existing mountain of console and handheld releases.

Edit: Hmmm, just saw the screens, what happened to the neat haze effects?

The screenshots you're seeing of LKS PC are from a very early alpha build. It's nowhere near feature-complete, so no fears -- we only showed you those screens to give you an idea of the HD up-rezzing. Effects and such will be in later.

Can you tell us who's going to be working on the PC ports, for SK specifically?

If we haven't announced it, then no, I'm afraid I can't.

I will say that LKS PC is coming along really well, though, and from what I hear, so is Shinovi Versus PC (though that one I have yet to see personally).

As expected. :) Looking forward to more news then.

I am really pleased with the PC announcements Tom, exciting stuff. Do you know if Little King's Story will be locked to 30 FPS?

XSEED doing god's work. I expected XN sooner or later, it's nice to finally have confirmation. LKS came out of left field however. Happy that it's the Wii version too. Gonna express my gratitude by buying both day 1 like I usually do with XSEED PC games.

Can you confirm if there's a tease on that image I shared or if it's a random one you guys used to fill that void?

If there is a tease there, I don't actually know what it is. But honestly, we have so many games on our plate right now that I've downright forgotten what all there is -- plus, I've been in my own little world (called PopoloCrois!) for the last few months, and kind of oblivious to most of our other releases -- so... maybe? ;)
