Yeah, there are parts where it's obviously him. I just never noticed when I watched it a few years back. There's a few moments where it's more clear than others. I didn't notice it at all the first time I watched it.

It's not a real trailer until Harrison Ford is yelling at you in his Nasal Nerd voice.

Look at that dislike bar.So, this commercial for Toys 'R Us is trying to mine the same sort of feel as that PS4 Battlefront commercial. Except it does it in all the wrongest ways.
It's basically a celebration of the ethos being mocked in this comic.

Awful compared to the Battlefront one. Buy your kids the gifts you want this Christmas instead of the ones they want. Reminds me of that Frasier Christmas episode.
The Battlefront also seemed cynical to me.
"Stuck in a meaningless office job you hate? Retreat to your inner child and relive the glory of when you had friends and played with StarWars toys"
Hnghhhh just booked for the 17th at 16:30! Bit early to go to the movies, but all the good seats during the night viewings are taken up until the 22nd of december. HELL NO THAT IM WAITING THAT LONG

That's a unique way of looking at it.

The battlefront commercial came off in such a "your life is empty" sense. Like pure desperationThe Battlefront also seemed cynical to me.

I dunno.
These ads are showing the dark side of escapism for me as it is corporate manufactured mandated escapism not something of your own choice.
Aimed at manchildren that have StarWars as their nostalgic good feeling retreat when they struggle to find happiness in the "boring" real world as an adult.
The ads tell them basically, fuck working on the world or your struggles, retreat back to childhood when the world was simple and please buy more plastic toys or videogames (either for them or their children).
Or maybe I'm just having a bad mood![]()

But real life is boring as fuck compared to Star Wars. I can't fly an X-Wing while working a 9-5 desk job until I die from old age in my cubicle.
That's the most horrifying shit I've seen today.
Yea, that is massively disturbing.
And unfortunately probably very accurate, in some cases. I mean, there are 15 year old kids running around named Anakin.
DefinitlyI think it's the latter.
Being in full SW hype mode, I'm really tempted to get the Clone Wars tv show blu ray set, since it's supposed to be really good. It's like 100+ episodes, I'd have a bunch of SW to bridge the gap til TFA hits. I wish Netflix got it over here

I can't tell if you're really flying an X-Wing or just constipated.
Maybe both?
It's like someone installed a powerful bidet in your cockpit.
This is the greatest movie ever.
Made this today for force friday:

That's a terrible doc. It's basically "Forum Whine: The Movie."
I know its a TFA thread but since we are all just waiting for the film: Anyone here seen The People vs George Lucas documentary?
![]()
I can recommend it, the documentary dives into 3 major parts: The altered versions of Star Wars and how hardcore fans felt betrayed. The prequels namely Phantom Menace and the future of Star Wars.
There is even footage of fans lining up for Phantom Menace and some cringe interviews, some girl said she would "remember this moment and tell her children about it" as she waited for Phantom Menace to start.
Well, the forums weren't WRONG.That's a terrible doc. It's basically "Forum Whine: The Movie."
