Is there a way to download them at this point? I notice the one on Apple's trailer site has no bars. Every other place seems to pad the video. Would love to have a straight copy.

What I did was go to the iTunes trailer site. When I got to the point where I could choose my resolution (options are 480p, 720p, and 1080p), I right clicked on 1080p and saved the video from there. I did this on PC, I don't know if it will work on Macs.

yeah, if you have iTunes, and you go through the iTunes store, you can page through the theatrical trailers there, and download them in 1080p. They'll be a 40-50mb .mov file in the corresponding folder.

Oh my god, how do the prequels actually manage to look shittier than the OT.. I really can't get over the horrible costumes, CGI and 1080p.. You can really tell that nobody gave a fuck. It looks like that shit was taken straight out of Rebels.

I know the press sites have access to versions that go north of a gig with multichannel audio options.

Prequel trilogy trailer in the style of Force Awakens. Kind of cool that it preserves the Vader reveal and also reminds you that a lot of the story bits were actually very strong. In fact, if they had done without the "aggressive negotiations" line and put something like maybe "I will be the greatest Jedi ever" then it would have been perfect.
Also, since I'm aping Reddit, a FA DVD cover to match the other 6.
Suitably bad to match the horrors of the other ones.

If she is their daughter, we still don't know her circumstances. She might have been separated from them for most of her life.

Not odd at all. Kids do not adopt accents from their parents, but rather their peers.
Look at all the generations of people who were born in a country different to their parents - they usually gave very native accents to their birthplace while their parents don't.
And on top of that, even in the Star Wars universe anakin didn't have the same accent as his mother. Or his slave owner. I remember George Lucas directing shmi and telling her just to keep her native accent.

Rule of cool. But nah, even the viewport itself is terribly limiting (Source: flew TIE Fighters in first person during Battlefront beta). If I had to guess they probably pilot based more off of electronic data than visuals. .
This is such a weird question. Accents are not related to genetics at all, why is it odd that someone raised on a completely different culture would have a different accent?

Isn't Rey obviously an estranged daughter of Leia or Luke if she's even either of their kid at all?
She's certainly left for dead and orphaned on Jakku or something... That scavenger life isn't the life of the daughter of a princess or a Jedi... Something certainly went wrong.
A lost daughter left for dead during or after the battle of Jakku, is my guess.

I'm not combing over timelines, but if the battle of Jakku was immediately after ROTJ, she probably is too young.
If she was ~30? Sure it works. But she's probably closer to 20...
Having speculated this, I'm already fatigued at the concept that she's a long lost daughter of Han, Luke or Leia. I hope they've made this interesting....
I think I'd actually feel better if she weren't a Skywalker at all...

I'm definitely in the camp that wishes that she wasn't a Skywalker at all.
If she HAS to be related to someone I think it would be cool if she was like a granddaughter of Obi Wan - he must have got busy at some point during his life on Tatooine. I mean the man was celibate during the entirety of his young adult life, surely he must have had urges that had built up over that time...
Would also be nice to see Luke mentoring a descendant of Obi Wan and return that favour.

NSIAP, but BoxOffice.com's domestic predictions for TFA are $216M OW and $762M total. I don't know how they generate their predictions (probably a mix of pre-sales, social media metrics, etc.), but these seem like attainable numbers provided the movie meets critical expectations.
