You can scrap it for steel, screws, etc. You can manually take off the components to reattach to a similar gun. i.e. take off the night vision scope on the pipe rifle you just found to attach it to the pipe rifle you're already using.

That is a pretty good and expansive crafting system.

This stream isn't doing the game much favors. Bullet spunges everywhere for no reason other than to prolong a battle. Garbage AI, and after 30 minutes, when enemies are finally done for, the friendlies bug out and turn on the player and he has to reset the mission.

I watched about 30 minutes of the game on PSN Live. It was frustrating watching the guy play (he didn't understanding the hacking system), but it looked like more of FO3--which makes me very happy and excited. I wish I could take time off this week but I am really busy at work. It is going to be tough working this week. Not only will I be anxious to get home to play more I'll probably be real tired from playing late.

Yeah, let´s start with some negativity - just to be true to ourselves.

Yea, it's a poor OT title that somehow keeps being brought up. Never mind the fact that Fallout 4 looks much, much better than Fallout 3, GAF is (pretty much) the only place on the Internet that anyone gets worked up about something like that, everyone else is just super pumped for a new Fallout game.

Building stuff is really fun, wish I could delete grass and holes in the ground, even the ground.

NPC's behave still dumb as fuck, like running into an obsticle.

Also, huge disappointment: The first big dead town, that had like maybe 30 houses, only 3-4 I could enter, everything else was just barricaded.

It's not possible to build things underground?

Nah, the one from some other thread Fallout 4 |OT| Graphics, graphics never change is top.

Yeah, I ain't gonna lie, it could be worse, but, I mean, come on.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt |OT| Gwent Player, Monster Slayer, Downgraded Later
Halo The Master Chief Collection |OT| QA Never Died, It Was Just Missing In Action
Watch_Dogs |OT| Hacks and Liars
DRIVECLUB |OT| Cloudy with a Chance of Delay
Devil's Third |OT| A game made of liquor with perfect bald man. It is average.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain |OT|
Some Other Guy
Who Sold The World

It's easy to imagine why not to title an OT like that, lol. I'm sure there'll be plenty of graphics talk one way or another without the title of the topic funneling things in that direction.

Has it been confirmed that starting at a higher difficulty increases the chances of getting better loot from enemies?

Legendary enemies spawn more frequently on higher difficulties that drop legendary gear. Regular enemies' loot tables seem unaffected.

Really? I found the
museum, church, several houses, a shop, and the sewers.

I'm happy to see GAF is finally over the relentless negativity. This isn't Giant Bomb.

This also isn't the happy unicorn rainbow hype train where everything is ok and nobody can say anything negative because that would ruin the hype. People are allowed to have an opinion.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate |OT| Once more unto the glitch

Fallout 4 |OT| Old World Engine, New World Gameplay.

I just got done playing Old World Blues in F:NV. What a blast. The writing was fantastic. I can't wait to play F4. So hyped.

Now I feel like bringing it back just because of this post.

Some of you guys take things way too personally. Why does everything need to be one huge circle jerk?

It's OK to criticize.
Yeah, people are getting way to emotionally invested in that OT(Graphics, Graphics never change.)title. It's hilarious. It's Fallout, no need to be so serious.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate |OT| Once more unto the glitch

I think delivering three straight games worth of some of gaming's most hilarious glitches could reasonably earn an OT that title. Shit, if Fallout 4's OT title made reference to modern Fallout's crazy ass visual bugs (like heads spinning, bodies warping, floating gibs, etc.) in a humorous way, I wouldn't even bat an eye, lol. There's a good difference in tone between that OT title and the suggested Fallout one at any rate, at least as far as I can tell.

All bobblehead location have been added to the wiki:
http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Vault-Tec_bobblehead

If you are a min/maxer, you can consider them now for your build.

interesting that there's a building/location called
Dunwich Borers
in its title,
I wonder if that has any link to the Dunwich building in FO3, man that place freaked me out when I stumbled across it.

The spoilers are very minor, if spoilers at all, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

The problem with [Internet enthusiast forums] is that every time the ship lists a little to the side, people think it's sinking.

Sub titles are completely busted on PS4. >_> They just freeze all the time, so that you'll miss pretty much entire conversations if for some reason you can't listen to the spoken dialogue. Well done Bethesda.

As someone who relies on subtitles, this is a bummer if true. :/

Yep, totally shitty and also too big. At first they wouldn't even work for me, had to restart the game.

Why.

Small observations after 10 hours:

- Start on Very hard when you played Fallout before
- You dont become overly rich fast because theres some really good and expensive items to be bought.

I'm still backing:

Fallout 4 |OT| Hyperbole. Hyperbole never changes.

It's neither positive or negative and pretty much covers this thread's ups and downs. :D

Yup. At the same time, I think the lens of the Internet tends to amplify people's negativity disproportionately.

That sucks. I love subtitles. But at least this is something a patch can fix

Is there anyone other than Codsworth who knows the names? Thought it would be pretty cool to hear your name throughout the game.
I think just codsworth, at least that's how it was presented at e3

Ey, like I said... It's not the worst title, I just think it's a bit too pointed. And I mean, I understand why graphics discussion is important and warranted where Bethesda, their games, and Fallout 4 are concerned. However, I don't think that visuals were ever such a central element to GAF's Fallout community's perception of these games, that the |OT| title should emphasize a week-long controversy over any and all other things relating to Fallout. Especially not when it would color the tone of discussion straight-away - discussion over visuals will happen naturally in the thread as reviews chime in and people ultimately play the game themselves, there's no need to get hasty :p

Think it's worth it to start on Survival mode if you've played a shitload of Fallout and want a game that stays reasonably difficult? How hard is Very Hard?

Keep going over the perks and and changing my mind. Can someone tell me how Int effects Exp gain?

To get the perks I want I need to devote 9 levels to stats. Trying to figure out how my starting stats should be and if I should get the stats, ASAP or work on perks when I can.

I assume there's no stat/perk respec kind of deal yet? lol

I agree with you I just think it's funny how some are so caught up with how people don't like the graphics. Hell, first OT title will last 2 weeks at most before we're on OT2 anyways.

Regarding that OT... Maybe we could celebrate the fact that a new fucking Fallout game is coming out?
I dunno... people often mistake cynicism for humor.

For the most part I was more caught up with how hung up some people were on the graphics, but to each his own, I guess. How this game looks matters more to some people than to me and that's cool
The first OT should be quick but I expect a fair amount of people using up their energy in the review thread :p

I mean, things have gotten cynical enough around here that suggesting that much could net you accusations that you're trying to give Bethesda a 'free pass'.
