See what you started Kev?

You do not know Kev then.

#huntthetruth

Kev jokes around like that all the time. And if you actually read the content of the post, you can tell it is a joke. He is not an insider with the numbers. You're right that it remains to be seen...XB1 might win. But Kev's post is a joke.

Up is down, left is right~ I have no idea what's real but I'm enjoying the crazy ride.

Wheeeee~

I thought it was really easy to tell that it was a joke.

Same Neural Network that was telling you TLG was dead? ;)

The way I interpret it is "my neural network" = his brain.
Basically it's what he thinks.

This being said obviously a (probably) small Xbox win this month would not be a big suprise, even if I give PS4 winning by "a nose".

No, my neural network is hooked into trees like the movie Avatar.

Because The NPD Group does not include Software sold as part of a Hardware Bundle in its Report, Packaged Software unit sales have been skewed lower as a result.

Hi.

Sure, but HW bundles have been a meaningful portion of HW sales all the way back to the first X360 holiday bundles back in the late '00s. So when comparing averages over the past few years, this doesn't really cause a significant difference. But yeah, a higher % of HW is sold as part of a bundle this year.

Don't you guys think that if MS had sold more xbones in October they would have released a statement already? They wouldn't miss an opportunity like this to tell the world they were number 1 in October

If PS4 won, I'll eat at Taco Hell.

If PS4 won, I'll accidentally the WHOLE NPD on the boards.

I don't know that they know, and I don't think they did last year in Nov/dec????

Also TLG was just cancelled again.

There are currently 4 Ps4 sku's in the Amazon top 20 chart. Highest X1 sku sits at number 21.

Black friday is going to be a mess.

Hardware Bundles have been an increasingly popular way to purchase Video Game Consoles in the U.S.

Not because people have such a burning desire to purchase that way, more due to the platform holders wishing to push them as a cheap value add. In some cases the non-bundled consoles have retailed higher than the bundles at times.

While there are a huge number of official bundles out there, they are nothing new, what seems at least a little different is the quantity and their defult nature of late.

One more day!

There's just no way the PS4 can win in Halo month imo. Xbox never loses in Halo month and I don't see why it would now.

I don't really get this line of thinking any more. A weaker Halo release vs a console that was selling better than the XBone at a higher price anyways, which that got its first price cut for the whole months worth. How there's "just no way" works with that I don't know.

. Idk if it's for this month or October. IMO Ps4 just needed to keep it close and not actually win. They were going against HALO

If Amazon best sellers for October is anything to go by, Xbox One did not win, and it's not even neck and neck. The problem with Xbox AAA exclusives seems to be they sell to an existing audience vs selling systems. I remember back in March 2014 people were flabbergasted that Titanfall didn't win Xbox that NPD. I don't see how Halo 5 is any different. The 360 was already winning every NPD when Halo 4 came out so going by that is not really accurate.

Which isn't the titan it once was.

Yeah but that's compared to itself. Compared to almost every other game it's still enormous.

It's been said a couple of times in this thread, but Titanfall is no Halo. Not even close.

MS is countering the PS4 Star Wars Battlefront bundle.

You didn't hear it from me.

How? by getting people to cancel preorders?

I can see it now,

Cancel your Star Wars PS4 bundles this week and receive 100 dollars off your next Xbox One, the All-in-One Entertainment System purchase.*

*proof of cancellation required to be eligible for promotion.

I'm talking UK here but Halo only sold about 25k more than Titanfall. I'd say that is very close. Halo might still sell very well but it's no beast mode these days. There's a real potential that PS4 wins the month or it's very close. "Just no way" you could say for WiiU winning the month sure. But there's a real possibility of PS4 taking it.

Only 1 more day to find out though. Lots of potential quotes from this thread could come back and haunt some people.

If Kev is talking about software (and he isn't messing with us), Syndicate would be first place. Nothing else notable came out in October.
