How often are you guys using the power armor after the first time you get it? I keep forgetting I have it stored at my base even though I have a good supply of cores at this point. Probably would have made some of the tougher encounters I've experienced so far pretty trivial.

Only once in a mission full of mirelurkers, there was one standing there at the start so I thought might as well.
I'm playing a sneaky character so power armor doesn't really seem fitting.

All the hoarding and needing to store supplies makes it really hard not to abuse fast travel.

I usually avoid fast travel in open world games but I'm finding it hard here because it seems like I'll eventually need everything I pick up.

Does anyone else feel like guns don't do any damage at all? I'm a level 11, normal difficulty, and I have about 15 different weapons but none of them do any damage.

It definitely feels like there is some MMO syle RNG in this game. I abandoned a 20 hour game due to the same thing you ran in to. I was getting nothing but crappy pipe weapons. I started a new build that has 10 luck, and have gotten better drops off the bat. I dont know if that is coincidence or not. I dont have gun nut or science perk yet, but now I am drops with mods that I am not even able to craft myself.

On PS4, running into a glitch where I turn invisible while crouching (kinda looks like stealth boy), and it renders my pip-boy useless.

ok, when and where will i be able to trade? Im at tenpines and me, codsworth and the dog are packed full. i need to get rid of the stuff!

You listen to AM radio?

I like the radio fella. He sounds scared and depressed and a bit reserved which is a nice contrast to the usual radio personalities we get.
Back when it was one of the better options, yes. He doesn't sound depressed though i'm sure he's supposed too, he has a very modern passive sarcastic tone that doesn't fit with the vibe of the world, I stopped listening to the radio altogether because of him.

I excuse it by limiting myself to only fast traveling back to a workshop to dump my junk and then running back out from there.

It's just an excuse though lol

Found a distress signal.

Has anyone located the guy saying he is stuck at Fiddler's Green Trailer Estates? I really wish the game would allow you to view subtitles on radio broadcasts. He says "stuck in a ___" and I can't understand what the hell he is saying. Sounds like bunkery. People using distress signals have little broadcasters beside them, right? edit, damn nevermind I finally found it. Hidden very well. I wonder what else is hidden in these little areas like this.

I got that distress signal too but couldnt find the place. Is it close to where the signal can be found? I wish they added a quest or updated your map when stuff like that happens.

Dude, give me a hint or five on where to go. I gave up looking for that dude after about 10 or 15 minutes of searching.

i really hate the way the settlements look in this. no matter what you do it just looks like garbage glued to more garbage.

the relevant gun perks are pretty essential here. That and/or getting good weapon mods is key to keeping up in terms of damage, I feel.

That being said, yes, having better luck will randomly get you higher quality weapon drops.

Huh, when it happens to me they're already Legendary. The mutation just seems to be recharging its health bar like it was a WWF game on the NES.

Yeah, this is how it's been happening to me too -- they also seem to start glowing? I'm not sure if that affects their abilities at all but the health recharge is the main way the mutation fucks you over.

Anyone know of the significance of these particular non-interactable objects?:
monkeys with the cymbals that clap and eyes flash when you near it? I see them now and then and can't interact with them. They're kind of creepy.

Yeah I kind of wish there was more aesthetic options than ramshackle post-apocalyptic, kind of takes the wind out of the idea of rebuilding/starting anew. A newly built wall from proper gathered materials shouldn't always look like it's full of holes/falling apart.

Anyone who has gone further into the game ... are there settlements with better 'real estate' than Sanctuary and Red Rocket .. bigger plots / more resources / etc ... just wondering peoples thoughts before I go even crazier than I have at the Red Rocket building stuff ...

Yo... what's the deal with stupid settlers sleeping on MY bed in MY house that I built. I legit stared at that idiot for a good 20 seconds contemplating on rewarding her stupid ass with a shotgun to the face, sleeping on my bed like that :/
