Came upon a trader in a shack that
had many cat paintings on her walls, had lots of cats in and around her shack, and she was selling cat meat and cat bowls amongst other stuff. Very odd. I wonder if you can do something specific with cat meat because I tested this earlier and killed a cat and I couldn't even loot it.

How do you remove a placemarker for an undiscovered location on the map?
I think it may be a bug that you can't do it from the world map but go to the local map and you can remove it from there.

I don't mind bugs in a game like this when they sometimes make the game amusing, or don't ruin the game experience...However, after all these years, I would think Bethesda could stamp out the game-breaking BS that happens in this game.

I've been rolling with Piper mainly in this game, because I wanted to see how a companion relationship can improve over the game, and I've had her the longest. I got to a point in the game where I had the option for a Super Mutant named Strong to join me...the way Strong was talking, I thought maybe if I had him join, it would open a new quest. Since that didn't happen, I decided to send him to Sanctuary, and go back and get Piper. I typically send her back to her office in Diamond City, because I've found it's easier to find her then without running around Sanctuary.

Well...after I sent Strong to Sanctuary, and went to Diamond City to go get Piper...she's no where to be found. I searched high and low around Diamond City thinking maybe she went someplace else in town...nope. I went to Sanctuary and the Red Rocket station in case I sent her there by accident...nope, she's not in either one of them either. I've looked all the places she could be, but can't find her anywhere.

Thanks a fuckin' lot game, I've lost my companion! :(

Debating taking Idiot Savant despite having 5 INT. I think I'll do it because it's guaranteed to trigger at least a few times. But there's like 6 or 7 other perks I'm trying to rank up as well.

I think I know where you're talking about. Intense indeed. I've come across four so far I think.

That particular encounter also had a legendary ghoul plus like 10 others.

I got cornered in that encounter too. I got lucky and the mysterious stranger came out twice and one shot killed the glowing one and the legendary ghoul for me.

Ugh. Don't you guys hate it when a mission requires you to go all the way to the other side of the map with everything unexplored between it. I usually Like to explore a place right when discover it. Hopefully going through the underground tunnels prevents too many places from being unlocked.

This needs to be sais so here it goes. PSA. Send all Your companions to rocket gas station. It's small so it's hard to lose your companion.

Just curious, but anyone know good methods for avoiding the terminal glitch? I feel like 50% of the time I exit terminals, my game freezes up and I'm stuck and forced to reload.

All workbenches are exclusive to each settlement. So it's best to consolidate all your shit at one workbench until you establish trade routes.

Thank god I did some googling and found out about the supply routes. The game really needed a better tutorial for all the settlement building.

Also random question and a stupid one but how do you guys quote multiple people in a post without editing? Stupid I know

I've gotten a fuck ton of legendary stuff from legendary enemies over the past 20 hours, playing on normal.

Hmm

Gonna reduce the fast travelling to try and run into more in the wasteland then. Most of the time I do it its just to save time going back and forth from Sanctuary to sort my inventory out

There's a plus button which will add the quoted post to the reply box :)

When crafting items in the work bench, if you do not have a certain component there is an option to tag it with the magnifying glass. So when out searching it will have the icon next to anything you need.
Which is fine, but I have all the items I need for a specific component now, but I can not work out how to un-tag it. Because I need a different resource, which I have tagged, but it shows both the items with the icon now and nowhere on the workbench does it show an option to toggle the magnifying glass on/off.

Any ideas?

Holy hell, getting Mama Murphy to sit down in the new chair I made for her, that she keeps talking about wanting to sit down in but just walking up to it and turning back around again, has been hilariously sad.

The crafting system here really is a genius way to make collecting junk meaningful, though. The rest of the game could stay as humdrum as it is so far, and that would still be a good reason to buy the game.

This game is killing me with hoarding, and now I gotta sort through special junk I want to keep for decorations instead of it being scrapped. I even want to keep some objects around because I cant "build" that item.

If you guys are playing a melee build

go to hubris comics and you can get grognaks axe and outfit which, grognaks axes does a shit ton of damage and the outfit boosts your damage

dont get your hopes up too much -- most legendary items are randomized junk

I did enjoy my shotgun that never needed to reload at the start of the game though

Question for those who have done the quest Diamond City Blues:

During the meetup, I went through with the murder of Nelson Latimer. I also killed Paul after we split the loot because he was being a ponce about things.

Nelson's dad confronted me about killing his son. We ended at an impasse, with him promising retribution. A couple of hired guns have shown up and tried to take me out in Diamond City, presumably on his behalf.

On this page: http://www.nukahub.com/quest/diamond-city-blues/, it says that all of Diamond city will eventually turn hostile toward you if you kill Nelson and cannot resolve things with his father (as happened to me).

Does anyone know if this is correct? I really don't want to lose access to Diamond City. Kind of hoping that if I don't finish the quest (haven't gone to the chem factory yet), the whole city won't turn against me? Or maybe if they do, I can do the "wait for 7 days" trick to get them to forget?

is this a walking dead reference?

Are there other places like Diamond City in the game? I only reached there tonight but it's the first and only major city location filled with NPCs I've found.

Concord and Lexington turned out to be ghost towns.

Not nearly as big, but there are at least two other "settlements" with NPCs, vendors, quests and stuff.

So not sure if any consider this a spoiler or even how i should tag this...
I guess any who played mothership zeta in Fallout 3 read on.

So just now got a crashed ship, pretty sure its alien. But no aliens or blasters at the site. Just flaming wreckage. Is there more to Fallout 4's alien crash?

Or is this it?
Just a big nothing and a cool moment

started playing today, about 2 hours in, did the first mission with the suit, led people back to town, and started exploring

less than 5 minutes from the start of the game i just got decimated. i want to explore but right now it feels like I can't. I'm level 4 and shit just two shots me, and I've hardly gone anywhere. I wasn't a fan of oblivions 'your level content everywhere', but I'm also not liking what this feels like right now which feels super restrictive at the start. I just want to explore :(

edit:
that being said, the game looks 5x better than it did in screenshots. it looked like hot garbage but in motion first hand it looks way better, the lighting does wonders. the gunplay also feels a bit better.

I've played the game for 6 hours now and I still haven't left the first Vault because I keep restarting to mess about in the character creator.

GAF, I think I have a problem.

So I get home from work, sit down in front of FO4.

3 hours. 3 hours to build another settlement because fuck me I just get lost in that shit. Then I go out, visit a location or two, then build another freaking settlement.

I think I have a problem.
