I feel kind of bad for laughing but this is fucking hilarious
Can anyone tell me what armor this is on the main protagonist?

I can't decide whether or to get this or just replay New Vegas. I realize that the RPG systems (leveling and dialogue) and writing are probably not up to NV levels but I tried to replay New Vegas earlier this year and found it be cumbersome and maybe a bit outdated in character control.
Can anyone maybe clue me in to how movement and combat feels compared to NV? Does it control better? I'm really on the fence for this one.
I gave Strong the Grognak's Axe that you can find in comic book shop and he's an absolute killing machine. His commentary is pretty funny too.
It ain't funny man! Luckily I managed to recover the helmet and a fuckin leg before they were destroyed. Fuck you Garvey!
What's the point of using mentats now? What can a temporary boost to INT even do for me? Used to use them to pick locks I couldn't.

So...I'm terrible at this game, or I'm playing it wrong. Never played a Fallout game before, but I have played Skyrim and Oblivion.
That being said...I die all the damn time. I keep running into enemies that seem over powered for me. I have very basic weapons but limited ammunition. For example, I'm trying to clear the Veteran's Military Cemetery for one of the minute men missions. Get to what I think is the last room and get pulverized. I'm level 8 and have dumped points into endurance.
Are there some good places to go for early game weapons or armor that can help me out?
can't you just give him something else and equip it?
It won't let me equip any piece of armor except power. It has to be a way to make him get out like a command but I don't see it. Fuckin hilarious anyway. Sometimes I wish I could take out his fusion core and leave him in the wasteland.
You turn them into Grapemenats that boost charisma by 5 and laugh at charisma checks and sell the rest of the useless drugs (apart from Psycho). What's the point of using mentats now? What can a temporary boost to INT even do for me? Used to use them to pick locks I couldn't.

Look at a settler in build mode and press Q/equivalent console key on PC.Guys, please help! I unlocked the Local Leader Perk but have no idea how to connect supply lines between two settlements. How does this work? Thanks!

Anyone know a place where one would find a combat shotgun? Havent come across any in 20 hour play time.
If you have it on PC Project Nevada mod makes the controls and shooting a lot better.
Can you not? I take fusion core from BoS all the time, forcing them out. Not sure about companions. Can you ask to trade and just pull it out?
The armor just dissapeared from his inventory when destroyed.
You can be lucky it was only a combat shot gun. I once ran into aI'm slow catching up on this thread so if this has been answered sorry, but I found one last night. Follow the Minutemen quest line (from your cowboy hat bro in Sanctuary) and two settlements in you get sent to a boathouse on a lake. There's a trap inside the shed next to it that disarms to a combat shotty.

Why is the Gauss Rifle under Gun Nut and not Science! It's an energy weapon damnit and I want to mod it.

So are Fusion Cores rare or in limited supply? Up til now I've avoided using my my Power Armor, but I have 3 full fusion cores and a partially used one. Does it make any sense at all to find a location, fast travel back to get my armor, wreck shit, then bring it back home? Or am I setting myself up for harder times later if I use it up now.
You have to go to the weapon bench and break down all your weapons in your inventory. So load up all your guns from your workbench inventory, walk over to the weapon bench, and break down the weapons you don't need.
You can scrap weapons from the weapons bench as long as they're in your inventory. Just go like you would to mod them and hit R.

you get more xp I guess
Pop one before turning in a mission, INT still increases the amount of EXP you earn.
You probably need to start crafting. I turned a like 14 dmg pistol into a 37 dmg pistol with better accuracy. You can double your armor pretty easily by upgrading it as well. Make sure you put on armor like legs and arms that go over the top of something like your default Vault Suit.
Gauss Rifle's use energy, sure. But they fire projectiles
Maybe I'm wrong but Gauss Rifles is a proyectile based weapon.
So how do you know if Idiot Savant works? I have INT 5 and I have not gotten anything >.>
(Plan to go INT 6)
When you gain experience, vault boy will appear at the bottom of the screen with a hilarious goofy laugh. So how do you know if Idiot Savant works? I have INT 5 and I have not gotten anything >.>

Lower your INT the better, but it does work. It's random. Been a God send for me though.
