This reminds me of a videogame, all are standing around making cool poses as nobody really moves.

The end of the trailer felt like fanfiction. Honestly, the action part of the movie looks excellent, and we should have some decent performances. However, I think the dramatic parts of this film are going to be kinda a mess from the writing.

I think the trailer looks awful, but I also disliked Man Of Steel a lot, don't think Zack Snyder has made a decent movie since Dawn Of The Dead, don't care for Superman in general, and love the Nolan Bat trilogy so much that I don't feel the need to ever see another Batman movie.

So this isn't for me obviously, but still. "Is she with you??" "I thought she was with you!" bleh

. Did the majority of us know the doomsday was gonna appear? Yes, but it's always better to leave the element of surprise.

I'm pretty sure something in the remaining 2 1/2 hours of movie you haven't seen will surprise you.

Surprise isn't the sole function of storytelling anyway.

Spoiler isn't the correct word/phrase to use here, but more of "giving away too much". We essentially saw all 3 acts of the movie in this trailer including what brings the 3 heroes together. You should never show third act reveals in a trailer, that's stupid.

Besides that, the editing and direction of the trailer were just odd. It's a shame considering the previous trailer was excellent and made me super excited to see the movie. My hype is down tremendously after seeing this trailer.

I really enjoyed the interaction with Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent at the beginning. Everything else looked bad in my opinion.

That was a really bad trailer. It's just such a mess. Like the complete opposite of what I got from the Civil War trailer. What a shame.

No point in having the senators in on it then. Doomsday, most likely, is a back-up plan when the government eventually says, "Superman's alright with us". There's no reason for Lex to talk to the senator chick unless he wants (1) to fix this inquiry and / or (2) get Zod's body. I wouldn't be surprised if Lex kills her.
Of course, I'm betting he's using her as a scapegoat for him to reamin clean

Yeah, Brainiac is a big-league villain. Whether in a Superman solo movie or Justice League Part 1.

I still think they oopsed bad in man of steel by not hinting at him/AI being the root cause of kyrptons downfall. Would make for a legit beef. But they can always retcon or etc as they often do.

Am I crazy that it seems obvious that's what they will do? I don't envision him being directly political, though.

Well, he's definitely poisoning the shit out of the Superman well with the Senator.

Also, there's this old promo photo...

... Which seems like a huge spoiler after these trailers.

I really enjoyed Jesse's take on Lex, but I don't agree with the direction they took him... if that makes sense.

They could totally mind swerve us and make him to be a total serious dick when not in public and that's just his public front or before he loses his hair and becomes cynical and a politcal leader.

I think that's the direction they're going with him. Eisenberg is hamming it up so much that I don't think he can not be putting up a facade. There are so many retellings of Superman's early years that feature Lex as putting on a happy, public-friendly face for a long time while being a complete bastard behind the scenes. Geoff Johns collaborated with Terrio a bit for this script's rewrites and his Superman: Secret Origin has a similar take on Lex.

Yeah, it's kinda obviously hinting at the fact that he's wearing a wig. Combine that with his outlandish outfits and you can tell that he's just putting up a front for the public.

Really weird ass editing, leaves nothing to the imagination. The initial trailer was damn good though. Lex is great, a little cliche but he's good.

Doomsday got leaked forever ago. Was holding out hope Faraci was wrong on that but here he is.

I don't know about this trailer, very weirdly edited. And I'm not digging Eisenberg as Luthor yet but maybe he'll impress me in the movie. At least Wonder Woman looks awesome.

i dunno, imo if you thought avengers looked great and this looks bad (and vice versa) there might be some weird company bias going on here.

that's what this trailer reminded me the most of. down to that scene with the giant alien worm and doomsday's intro, to scarlett's awful "that's not a party" line and the batman/superman "I thought she was with you"

and also a final shot of the entire gang. they want that marvel money with this one. god damn I hope this trailer is almost entirely misleading.

To be fair the civil war trailer was nowhere close to being as good as the BVS comic con trailer. The thing though is Russo's have shown they can direct a good movie so I know civil war will be good. Snyder on the other hand....

This is true. Look there are obviously some marvel fanboys who I will not name who will selectively praise one company and accept Hulks expanding and shrinking pants while complaining about Batman's eye makeup not being accurate. Most of the criticism however here seems on point.

I like how Batman is supposedly all worried about a superpowered alien goin around breaking shit and then when Wonder Woman fuckin shows up out the blue he just goes

I THOUGHT SHE WAS WITH YOU EHH WHATEVER *strikes pose*

To people saying they gave away too much....the title of the movie already gave away the whole plot.

Batman v Superman

They fight
Dawn of Justice
Come together against greater threat

I never saw the title and thought Dawn of Justice meant they would come together. I'm positive I'm not the only one who saw it that way as well.

I'm curious to hear what people think is being ruined by just knowing what the Ultimate Threat is going to be.

Like, that doesn't in any way alter the pretty obvious trajectory of the plot, and the movie has bigger problems if the reveal of the Ultimate Threat being Doomsday was gonna make or break the whole thing.

It's literally the synposis from the movie that was released. They come together to fight a bigger threat.

When Snyder can't even produce a cool trailer out of his movie, you know something has gone horribly wrong.

This look, honestly, a terrible movie, and the deflation of what Nolan achieved with Batman.

I'll give it the benefit of doubt, but I think I will hate this even more than MoS.... :-(

we still havent even seen Aquaman and supposedly Ezra might be in it too

batman v superman gonna be a 10 minute fight

and then they'll team up and crack jokes

even as I had not much faith in the film I really didnt expect that route
The rest of the league or whoever is in it will be a glorified cameo.

Batman V Superman is clearly set up as an ideological battle just as much as a physical contest. The first one minute of this trailer is batman/superman having a little fight. The majority of the movie will probably focus on that and deal with their friendship starting on different grounds. They will obviously partner up, but it's pretty clear their conflict is the main one.

That trailer felt like one of those where afterwards I feel like I saw the whole movie.

Kind of disappointing and now I'm a little less excited. I mean, I'm always excited to see Batman on screen, but now I don't feel like the story will be anything great. I expect it's gonna be a cool beginning of the movie where everything is introduced then it'll basically turn into The Avengers.

This trailer was terrible compared to the first one. Also completely not sold on Eisenberg's Lex, and I like him as an actor.

The composition and lighting look really bad in this shot IMO. It ruins an other-wise awesome moment.

Also who is the actor who says the line, "You must be new, that's Bruce Wayne." That was some awful fucking delivery if you ask me. That soured me on the trailer right from the start.

Preferably, with Lex as the main villain. No need for Doomsday at all.

Mech suit Lex at most.

Mech Suit Lex seems too....comic booky for Snyder. If anything you'd get the reimagined version

And no one wants that.

I expected some modified ending to Dark Knight Returns considering how heavily the movie seems to be drawing from it.

Not that I'm unhyped for Doomsday, I just think he looks bad and didn't need to be in the trailer.

Modified? So they fight, WoWo joins, and it just kind of stops?

Like the Dark Knight Returns.

With Bruce "dying" of an heart attack?

The climax would have no...climax if it was just them fighting each other. At some point you know they'll stop because they'll figure out they're all good. Something like Starro or Max Lord controlling Superman would fit I guess.

Nothing about Doomsday has ever been good. He's just a dumb brute for superheroes to hit and be hit by.

It's honestly the most logical way to introduce Doomsday and not make an entire movie devoted to him (and to also avoid the mess that is "The Death of Superman"). Doomsday is a humanoid Kryptonian monster that survives on solar energy the same way Kryptonians get their powers. He becomes stronger and adapts against what killed him with every passing death. To take a dead Kryptonian and use it as the basis for a dumb brute for the Trinity to hit makes sense in the context of the universe.

His design is an iconic one even if it is a bit sucky. This one truly looks like the first draft of a Killer Croc. It's not very good.

I know what Doomsday is but using a resurrected Kryptonian is not a good way to bring the character in. There's no reason to believe Doomsday is more of a threat than any other Kryptonian. Why would this Doomsday be any stronger than a regular Kryptonian? You don't need an entire movie, he could be what Krypton was to MoS.

Honestly I was hoping the focus really would be on Bats and Supes for the bulk of it, and the climax some fuckery involving Lex. Which we're getting, really. I'm just not a fan of Doomsday as a concept at all. Maybe tying him to Zod will make it more interesting here.

There's no way that the ending could be just Lex when you have the Trinity against him. There's no chance for the guy.

Doomsday makes me feel like there won't be a lot of Batman V Superman in the actual movie unless the movie is 5 hours long.

yeah no shit. this trailer was almost a straight up comedy very much in marvel's line of buddy cop humor

except Snyder just aint good at that stuff, and the playing catch up part of it hinders it too when its been done so much

Hmm meh trailer, let's hope that audiences won't get burned out if the movie sucks, SS, deadpool and Civil War looks way interesting so far.

How is this even a fucking question for some people hes Lex fucking Luthor his entire game plan is putting on a show for the outside world to hide his scumbag side this isn't a new take on the character.

I THOUGHT SHE WAS WITH YOU EHH WHATEVER *strikes pose*

Considering he's fighting alongside Superman at that point in the trailer, it's obvious he's gotten over whatever his view was...
