What was the most violent movie you watched as a kid?

For me it was
Starship_Troopers_-_movie_poster.jpg

Don't how my parents let me see this movie.

A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors at 8 or 9. I also watched a lot of Van Damme movies as a kid.

My parents didn't really stop me from watching much, and my grandfather would take me out to rent movies (5 movies for 5 days, for $5).

The only ones I was ever told to turn off or not watch were Casino and From Dusk 'Till Dawn. My Grandpa rented me both, but my parents walked in during the first part of FDTD and my Grandpa gave me a buck to rent Casino off me then told my parents I shouldn't watch it at 8 years old.

RoboCop for sure. Such an awesome fucking movie. Remember seeing Starship Troopers in theaters as well. I would have been 12 at the time. Also remember seeing T2 in theaters and I would have been 6, granted it's not really that violent outside of a couple quick moments.

RoboCop

Boddicker was one crazy fucker. And that scene near the ending where the guy that rams into a tank of acid and gets run over. WTF mayne.

Starship Troopers was like fffffuuuuuckin hell mate when the alien sticks the thing in the dude's brain?? Holy shit.

I still can't see that scene without closing my eyes.

Violent may not be the right word, but I saw The Shining when I was 5 or so and it really, really fucked with my fragile eggshell mind. Same with Pet Semetary.

Again, violent may not be the right word, but I saw Female Trouble when I was 10 or so and I... well. It was weird.

Princess Mononoke. Shit is fucked. Technically not the most violent movie I saw as a kid but the fact it was animated and I didn't really expect it made it more jarring.

Robocop then total recall. I remember having to sleep in my brothers room after watching robocop because of the toxic waste scene gave me nightmares. Watched total recall with my parents and all they said was,"make sure you don't use any nasty words you heard at school" The night I fell in love with boobs.

ROBOCOP. The scene where he gets shot a million times. Nightmare fuel.

Yep.

I didn't watch it for a decade later. Shit was too intense for my 7 year old self.

What's crazy was that Robocop was being marketed to young boys with the toys and cartoon.

Also this is Paul Verhoeven the thread lol.

The original Django, my pops its a western fan and it was one of his favorites. I still remember one bad guy taking a bullet right between the eyes, damn that was so shocking I was 7 or something.

I watched tons of violent and gory stuff as a kid, my parents were pretty laid back about it. Robocop stands out as the one where I actually realised what I was watching though.

Paul Verhoeven is a legend!

Night of the Living Dead (the original), when I was around 6 . Had zombie nightmares periodically for the next 15 years. Despite how many zombie movies I had seen after, the Romero version really stuck with me. Maybe because it was in black and white, seemed more like a documentary to me.

"They're coming to get you, Barbara."

Fist of the North Star. I thought the movie was just going to be a typical martial arts cartoon or like the NES game.

I watched the first rape scene of A Clockwork Orange when i was 4, by accident

i still remember it vividly
