Ok Google detection drain should be pretty negligible now on the 6P since it has a dedicated low power chip for just that purpose.

I just got one of those Project Fi Lego stands that Google was sending out last night. It's neat. I'm not sure if I trust it to hold up the Nexus 6P though... Seems more designed for the 5X. It holds it, but I think it would tip over pretty easily if jostled.

5x just came it. Sanding the micro sim down to fit a nano slot. Be almost an hour but almost done. Then yay new phone.

Picked my handset up today and I'm loving it so far. Came from a Sony Xperia Z1 which has served me well but this thing just blows that away.
The screen is excellent. Everything just feels snappier which could be due to the stock android rather than that which Sony use.
Feels like a premium piece of kit compared to the Nexus 5X which I also considered.

I just used scissors and cut it down until it fit. Idk, figured if it didn't work I would just get a new one.

Press the square button at the bottom. Every search opens up its own window.
As for the emojis, use another keyboard app. I've been using SwiftKey for years, it's got its own set too.

I was hoping for a compiled list similar to what Shazam has, etc. I think I closed the window already.
Any consensus on what the best case for the 5x is? Looking for something as thin as possible.
I like and use the Ringke Fusion (smoke color). Enough protection but still keeps the phone very slim. The case on the back side ends up being roughly even with the camera protrusion. You can find it on Amazon for about $10-11.
Wish Verizon had this. They keep throwing discounts at me to finance a new phone with them. I'd be more than happy to since it would still be less than the old subsidy price but the phone I really want is the 6P.
I haven't found any indications that they will be getting it any time soon though.

Having only ever used Android, the current emoji set is the best thing ever. Any time I see iOS emoji, I think they look like terrible emoticons that would be sold via a popup ad in 1999.

I think my amazing wife to be got this phone for me for Christmas. If so, it's the absolute phone of my dreams and I'll be thanking her forever.
God dammit. The UAE only has the graphite model in stores. Online, it's Graphite or Aluminium in most stores. JadoPado has Frost but is charging almost 100 USD more on their site for the phone. Fuck.
edit: Actually looks like the region hasn't been given the Frost color. Most retailers where you can grab Frost are charging that extra 100. Ugh.

I wish I had gone with frost, but to be fair, my phone has been out of it's case only a handful of times, so it's hardly made a difference.
Do most of the cases for the 6P cover up the back?

As a frost owner, good. It should cost substantially more. It's not for everyone and should be the most exclusive, good color.

So true. I love Google emojis. They are actually funny and make sense. iOS ones look like that old 90's age emojis that ads would force you to download on your computer. Hideous.
The ones with full faces are also hideous. They look scary.

After 4 unsuccessful Nexus 6 exchanges for a decent display, the 6P is still in round 2 (3 next week). I don't believe anyone who says that his display is perfect!!!
Mine was perfect on the first try (and I've compared it to a friend's whose was messed up like yours to check) and I've had massive problems with phone screens in the past. They're out there for sure, just gotta get lucky I guess. Hopefully they're really working on this problem because at the rate I've seen it come up it really is unacceptable. Best of luck!

how do I get it so that youtube links get opened automatically in the app?
