So 3x speed doesn't disable trophies. Any idea if the R3 full heal does? I don't plan on using it, but I want to know if I'll be screwed if I accidentally press it.

It was many people's first FF, so i guess it would not hurt. I'd personally recommend FFX as first but that's personally speaking

Edit: Game/battles itself are running at what looks like 15-20 fps, with stuttering battle music.. and the smoothed out font just looks horrendous.
I think I'll just stick to the PS1 release on Vita? This is disappointing.

I'm cheating trough it and i'm love it, trophies pop.

I beat this game over 10 times, and did everything you could do. I like 3x speed + cheat, spamming limits. Scorpion boss died before the infamous message popped up.

Quoting myself, am I the only one with choppy/stuttering music? This is very distracting. Don't understand why cheats are mapped to the controller, yet I can't even disable the horrendous font-smoothing.

This would've been an insta-buy if the translation was completely re-done like some were theorizing. Not really sure if I want it now since I own the steam version and am already playing it with a difficulty mod and fantranslation.
Besides the PS4 theme and the 3x speed, there's not much incentive for me here. Oh well, I'm sure I'll get it eventually.

What is right with it? It uses a technique similar to the old super2xsai filter used in emulators, there is no need for it.. the font looks like it is made out of balloon animals now.

If you ask me, the original on Vita is a far superior experience. The 3D polygons are sharper, but they stand out too much from the low resolution backgrounds so it doesn't really look coherent.

Can someone please confirm if their music is skipping/stuttering as well?

Seems like a great port to me. Already got a couple of trophies.
Characters are really sharp and super anti-aliased (and so it is all the real time 3D graphics), even backgrounds while still low res seems to be filtered (I remember that in the original 1998 PC version you could actually see jaggies even in the pre-rendered backgrounds, now they're gone).
You can speed up gameplay 3X, you can choose to restore full health and activate all limit breaks during fights.
Text is perfectly sharp and clear.
They also put in the remake trailer and as I said the bundled PS4 theme is beautiful. It's also at a discounted price at 10.99€.

Man, I'm abit disappointed that the trophy art is boring and abit generic. I was hoping they'd put some effort into them. The Fallout games still have some of my favourite trophy art.

The Barret dating trophy should be easy enough using that affection glitch at Cosmo Canyon.

I watched my cousin play through one time, he did that but somehow won. But I've never let him live it down that he didn't get out of the reactor before the countdown ended.

He didn't want me to tell him how to play so he ran right by Jessie without helping her free her leg. Of course you need her to open doors later on to get out. Hahaha.
