I would but 1:30am.
Me 2:30 am... I would try it!

Then what the hell is going on in that scene? It's like big head mode in goldeneye.

Large film, large cameras, large heads. You do have a large things fetish! No the images were doctored because I have a large head fetish.
Because they're great cameras, especially for big action stuff, which is all they used them for in this film. Dark Knight did something similar. But because a ton of people will not be seeing the film in IMAX, any film that does that will always still frame the action with an eye to a standard aspect ratio, and the extra IMAX picture will always be extraneous scenery that doesn't really add anything of real value to the shot. Only films that are intended to be exclusively seen in IMAX will use the full frame properly at that aspect ratio.
So what's your problem?
This makes the most sense. I hope I forget about it when at the theater.
Yes? I'm watching it in 2D. Everything not filmed with 3D cameras isn't worth my time.[/QUOTE]You know movie theaters can charge more for 3D screenings? And they don't need to have an expensive projector or pay a projectionist.
So what's your problem? It's one scene btw.
This makes the most sense. I hope I forget about it when at the theater.Possibly an unintended effect of the wide angle lens they used for the shot. She's in the foreground and leaning forward in a run, too, which probably doesn't help.
There are many IMAX(real) theaters equipped with 70MM projectors that are choosing to show the movie in 3D because so they can justify charging more money. Do you not see how absurd this is? This exists because people literally do not give a shit.

Is Daisy's head super massive IRL or are these pictures messed up?
So what's new? I specifically sought out a 2D screening for opening night because I have no interest in seeing it in 3D, at least the first time I see it. But we live in a world full of people who prefer Pan & Scan, Auto-Motion Plus, and couldn't tell that they had HD devices hooked up to their HDTVs with composite cables. The audience being a bunch of low-standard rubes shouldn't be shocking to anyone at this point.
So you want more imax theaters to show it in 70mm 2d for the integrity of film for one scene? I don't think that makes smart business sense for them. They're whole business is 3D.There are many IMAX(real) theaters equipped with 70MM projectors that are choosing to show the movie in 3D because so they can justify charging more money. Yes, the movie is framed with traditional aspect ratios in mind, but it does not mean it is not framed with the IMAX aspect ratio either. Because if it did, then there wouldn't even be 15 locations showing it as such.
Lol really? One scene too many.
I'd also like to apologize.

I know, right? I can't believe I'm going on a Star Wars movie date this week (on op of Thursday being my IMAX viewing day with my little bro).I can't believe we'll be getting a new Star Wars this week. It seemed so far when they announced it but here we are.

One and a half year this time hopefully! And the fact that the next Saga films are in pretty quick succession is great. A two year cycle for Saga films with other Star Wars films sprinkled in between.

So today people will finally see the movie with the premiere and all. Then tomorrow critics can watch it? Then just a couple more days for everyone else.
Yup. Expect "Best / Worst movie ever" tweets in less than 16 hours
That part doesn't excite me as much. After this year, we'll find the release of a Star Wars movie about as novel as the release of a Marvel movie.
I'm not complaining about it. I'm happy to get move movies. But the idea that a Star Wars release is special will be gone soon.....

Three years, huh. '2015' seemed so far away but we're finally here.
It's overkill imo. Hard to be truly excited for the next installment when you know they are releasing so quickly after the previous one. Rogue One next winter and Episode VIII in May '17 is way too packed of a schedule, really.
Wasn't the polar express shown in 70mm 3d without the new laser projectors? I'm not sure why Star Wars isn't as well.I said I was done, but essentially people should be okay with paying as much if not more than they do for 3D to see the film in 70mm. And filmmakers should understand that when they use such cameras that should be the way the film is viewed generally. Hope you understand. We'd get more films in that format ultimately. Which is a good thing. Give the content creators and content consumers more freedom.
I don't think it's overkill. It's just them realizing the IP they have and not sitting on it for too long. I'd rather see this trilogy as quickly as possible and the anthology films offer a different experience. I may not be as "hyped" for the anthology films as I am for the main trilogy but I am excited for their direction.
Reactions will be all over the place for this especially. I'd suggest avoiding it.

I shouldn't internet at all for the next week, right?

The fact they can experiment with different genres is exciting too, what with Rogue One being described as more of a traditional war film than the saga films.
GAF is probably safe, I might not be on twitter or facebook though.
I thought GAF was safe for Fallout (though that wasn't nearly as anticipated as this).
Only takes 1 person to ruin it. I'll be getting the hell off the internet for a few days. And hopefully nobody at work spoils me (i'm looking at you girl that always spoils the walking dead before I see it)

I wonder if movietickets.com would let me switch dates.

True.Would it even be up to them?
The theatre is the one who controls the seating and scheduling. You would have to check with them regarding availability.
The spoiler thread is full of leaksReading tons of (fake?) spoilers on Twitch chat, did stuff leak/come out already? Time to hide I suppose.
