People say Luke was in all black because he was almost to the dark side, but I think it was more of a film making decision to play with peoples minds more than anything. I really doubt Luke ever goes full on Dark side. There is a reason he said "I am a Jedi". It was defensive, and if you look at his face when he says it, it has the feeling of realization and like a weight has been lifted from him.
Luke's too good to ever believably fall to the dark side like his insane father. At least in the way ole Palps was trying. Palpatine was an idiot in ROTJ after he manipulated and schemed for years to turn Anakin lol. I do like the black outfit though, it's almost like a symbolic mourning of his innocence after Empire.

The blu rays for the prequels are fine, depending on how you feel about the OT you might want to seek out the Despecialized Editions.

Padme was the cutest when she was dead because she couldn't spit out the horrible and unbelievable dialogue GL wrote for her. She's like a fucking cringe machine throughout the PT.

I prefer Everything Wrong With. It's great for quickly watching movies I didn't really intend to see.
Those What If videos for Eps 1-3 were amazing though. I would Kickstart/Patreon an animated version of those films if I didn't think Lucasarts would C&D it to death.
She did fine as a Queen but the poor Senator got the worst dialogue in the series bar the sand line. :'(

So initial verdicts are coming in from the Premiere and they all seem to be saying the movie is brilliant, JJ nailed it and lots of positive comments about the cast, especially Daisy Ridley.
If it's really as good as they are saying (and I do believe it will be) I think this is going to destroy pretty much everything at the box office.
What do we think, biggest movie opening ever? I think it's quite possible.

It'll be up there, I think being a december release will slightly soften whatever it could do, opening weekend wise, but it'll probably make more money in the long-run than it would've in a summer slot.
I'm 50/50 on it passing JW's OW, but I think it'll pass it's overall gross, at least domestically.
Even a lot of the "negative" impressions have said the movie is good/enjoyable

Haven't really seen many stand up for MGSV's story though... and they're crazy.

Yeah I mean Anakin was losing his shit and Padme looked a little concerned, but in the end they were definitely animalistic savages and did torture her. Padme isn't going to peg him a serial killer over that.

I was going to wait to make this movie a "social gathering" sort of thing but I realized...I really badly want to see it and don't want to have to avoid reviews and spoilers for long.
