Guitar Hero Live IOS. reduced from $49.99 to $9.99

Oddly enough, isn't this game structured entirely around micro transactions? This could easily be F2P on mobile.


Uhh... Not all devs showed up to the day 1 mobile game meeting to decide on universal pricing terms.
Actually many mobile games in the beginning were paid. Stuff like Doom for $6.99, Canabalt for $2.99, the $6.99 Resident Evil 4, $6,99 N4S Shift, $4.99 Rolando, Spider, etc.
 
For those that lament the iOS market... who was this game for that it should cost $50 or even $10 with no guitar, just touch controls? I am a big purchaser of >$10 games on iOS but this is not the "iOS market is broken" situation. This is a misread of the market and I would have never bet on this if I were Activision.
 
Pretty sure that was $50 with the guitar. This $10 price doesn't come with the guitar, it's not a price drop but a way to get people hooked who don't want the guitar.
 
Does connecting a guitar unlock the full game for free? I've got it on PS4 for Christmas anyway, so not a burning issue, but just wondering.
