i just want people to temper their expectations for 2016 and beyond. stuff like this won't be the norm for long.
i get it thought. the vita doesn't have a successor, so it's harder to let go of it more than other platforms. i just think you should be prepared for the winding down period.
from here on out, vita-only releases are going to be mostly with some ulterior motive attached. don't take that to mean something against the consumer either. it's more about business relationships.
I have this feeling the Vita is going to shuffle onwards for years as a niche machine getting boutique translations of Japanese games, the way the PSP managed to. It's still relevant enough in Japan, producing chart toppers with relative frequency, that it's not going anywhere any time soon. And of course all the "nothing to lose by tossing it out here" indie ports too. It will continue to have some limited value as part of the PS4 ecosystem as well.
