2015 PC Screenshot Thread of the Only Place Where Compression Isn't

Spell effects in the entire FF13 series are so much better (aesthetically that is) than in anything else.

You should remove that with Photoshop or equivalent, that would be easy as hell

Yep maybe is the easiest way for shots but ill like to play without them too.


Thanks, cant make it work tho. on syndicate if i remember well i tried something similar for Ryse and couldnt make it work, games dont start when i put the files in, maybe i need something more like some .net libraries or some other stuff.

One thing is for certain. I can't go back to 16:9 monitors.

For shots or for playing? I kinda like the 21:9 format for shots but sometimes there is a ton of useless space rendered when gaming, i think ill back to a 16:9 plasma and let the IPS monitor just for work.

I didn't even know this was on PC. Need a no hud fix if anyone has one.. I tried searching for a debug mode cheat but I don't think there is one.

Hmm.. do you have an AMD card by any chance? Cause i'm not entirely sure if it works properly with AMD.

3Dmigoto (the tool I use to make these HUD toggles) is originally meant for fixing 3D issues for Nvidia cards

Both. I will probably avoid games that I know won't support 21:9. Back when I still had a 16:9 monitor, I would play certain genres in 21:9 with custom resolutions because the extra vision was really helpful (shooters, for example).

16:9 is a crap aspect ratio for screenshots as well. Too wide for character shots and not wide enough for good scenery.

Yeah, I find that going from the UWQHD AR to my old 1080p monitors, even with the better refresh rate, is like going from a 1080p 16:9 to a 1024p 4:3. You literally can not. The longer I test my current monitor, the more I plan on keeping it. At least till the newer GPU's come out...

My only issue, after getting the overclock to work, is that Assassin's Creed Syndicate won't acknowledge my monitor or it's AR, so I have to play 1080p 16:9 stretched...

I was actually just thinking the other day how I should go back and look at your LotF shots because they were astonishing.

If its DX9 you could most likely make a HUD toggle with GeDoSaTo.
 
that engine upgrade really did wonders. Looks amazing.

Yeah they did a good job. Some of the NPC's are missing shadows at times but other than that the lighting look amazing. Distortion effects and reflections look really good.

Thanks, yeah the only problem is that it won't work with Flawless widescreen so I have to play in 16:9. I was hoping there might be a cheat table around. Edit: nm I'm an idiot. Don't need to downsample with Gedosato when I can use DSR.I can just use the no hud toggle through Gedosato. Duh.

I thought I recall setting key bindings for hudless shots in some other games and it seemed to work. In this game no matter what key I bind to "takeHUDlessScreenshot" it captures the hud. Weird.. and I'm not sure what's with the more saturated shot it captures along with the original image because I have all post-processing effects turned off in Gedosato but whatever it is I like it!

I believe that if the game doesn't have a pshash in its gdst profile, hudless keybind will just take regular screenshots. Dumped frames in combination with the log file for the game is used to find that pshash.

edit: Oh and trackShaders needs to be set to true for the log to be actually useful in finding the pshash.

Thanks for the info, I've set trackShaders to true so I'll see if I can find the pshash. I'm guessing the saturated image could be from HDR scene tonemapping in Asmodean Alt-processing effects which may be on by default..not sure. I can only find true/false for Post Processing.
 
Don't know if these look stretched to you guys. Flawless Widescreen works but only if I set the resolution in the game's config tool to 16:9 and then Widescreen fixes it with a manual settings override since I'm using DSR :-s. What a fun game though.

I hope you realize that you posted spoilers here. Are we allowed to post screenshots that spoil the game?
And even if we are, it's really not ok.

Spoilers indeed aren't allowed but there isn't a single spoiler in those 6 shots so he/she is doing nothing wrong. And even if there is a spoiler the game is already pretty much 6 months old so it wouldn't matter anyway.
