Hey dude, you should read the rules in the OP.

  • Limits: 2 screenshots per post. If you have more than 2, make more posts or use thumbnails.
  • Compression: Don't compress your screens or use a host that compresses them (Steam, Imgur).
  • Thinking: Think before you post. Is the screenshot really worth posting?

I can't believe how ugly this game is at places, clearly PC was an afterthought. Game is pretty mediocre too, with a cliche story written by a person who only reads James Patterson-quality novels it seems. At least some of the fortresses are great to concur. FC3 was IMHO better, but alas, ubisoft.

(edit) Looking more closely at this shot, I think it's pretty bad. Forgive me. I hope to post a better one tomorrow ;) Here a witcher shot to cope with the blisters:

I really wanted to play batman on my pc. But my previous rig wasn't that good, and the performance didn't gave me a lot of hope.

Hahaa! You're funny dude. Yeah..what the hell..I thought I recall it looked better than that. Are there texture streaming issues because the distant ones don't look like they've loaded in? Come on reshade it at least..you know you want to ;-)

You made me want go look through my shots again. I remember it being a better looking game but now I'm realizing why I posted so few of these. Downsampling clearly helps though. For reference, here's a shot from that same room.

Still not great...

I spent a while trying to get timestop to work too so I could get "action shots" like this:

I REALLY don't like this engine or the imagery it produces.

Reshade crashes the game after a couple of minutes (which is random, but it will come). AF isn't very high in-game too, but setting it higher manually in the driver will force it to be applied everywhere and you'll get oversharpened leafs on trees which looks awful. :/ Will see if it looks better with 8x. The devs clearly didn't apply it to a lot of surfaces.

Streaming isn't the issue I think (everything is loaded from an 840 EVO), it's just... ugly. Low poly models, sloppy modeling work with grass on hillslopes. Or perhaps I'm used to The Witcher 3 quality and this just missed the bar by a landslide. Its not always ugly, some scenery is nice, but it's not a game that can meet 2015's standards.

Yeah, and if I scroll your post it is almost as if a movie is playing too!. Kidding aside, don't you think the 'rules' are set for a reason, i.e. so a page isn't a long list of pictures which barely differ from one another? In-lining a picture is better so you can expand it instead of going to another site where the picture is still not full-size.

Something isn't quite right there. I had no issues at all with ReShade. Certainly no crashing.

There were a few things about that game I remember looking good. Like.... the stone on these buildings.

And this majestic vulture

PBR would help out a ton. This game definitely suffers from everything looking extremely wooden.

Sadly Far Cry Primal looks like the same ugly shite as this.

Could be my use of FXAA which perhaps caused a leak somewhere and pissed over the poor Ubisoft code, I have no idea. It in general crashed within 15 minutes. When I removed reshade, it didn't crash at all anymore, till 10 minutes ago. It's a ubisoft game after all. Might also be the fact Uplay now includes an overlay (which of course doesn't work, screenshots still require external tool)

Downsampling made it look a bit better, but my poor 780 then starts to cry so I had to give that up. Upped AF and it's 'ok' now, I managed to snap some decent shots even.

That shot is indeed something I don't manage to get out of it! I've settled for this now (native res, which is apparently for the engine enough weird to every time start windowed with a border, and borderless is a window larger than the monitor with scaled up gfx... ubisoft...)
