This game is very inconsistent. Parts of it look great considering it's pretty much a last-gen open world RPG with fully dynamic lighting... others, not so much.
So I tried this lighting mod. This is.... night time. Also known as day time with a blue tint. I know W3 nights are pretty bright but not THIS bright.
I would like to know do you guys prefer Arkham Knight with or without film grain?
I am playing it without and looking at the screenshots i think that majority of the ppl that are playing it or finished it don't use film grain.
I am asking because i think that it actually doesn't look bad in AK. It adds something for me, some atmosphere and in some areas it looks better than turned off. Also it looks to me like textures look little better too or maybe it's just hiding flaws?
Am i the only one?
You all need to get the appearances mod so that even if you're wearing an ugly peasant sweater, you can still look cool![]()
Alternatively, you can snag the School of the Roach submod that only includes the TW2 armors. This submod simply replaces all the ugly peasant sweaters in the game with the very finest armors found in TW2.
thanks! i'm pretty blown away too, but it's still left to the whims of the game in terms of camera angle stuff, haha.I'm finding myself really impressed by this screenshot. That looks really great for such an aged game.
Might be a bit random, but why does 60 fps in MGSV feel so much smoother than 85 fps in any other game?
Unless you've got an 85hz monitor, or set the refresh rate to 85hz, having a framerate that matches or evenly divides your refresh rate will look and feel smoother because every frame ideally gets the exact same amount of screen time (assuming even frametimes as well.)
I have one 85hz and one 120 hz, and on both screens, MGSV looks leagues smoother than any other game except if they're at a nice 120 fps and solid frametimes...
This is noticeable on the 120hz, but much more noticeable on the 85 hz
Auto-Reply, you use some sort of cheat tool to pause the game during those action shots, right? 'Cause I can't imagine taking such good shots playing normally haha.
I feel like I won't be able to beat this game. It's just bad in how it handles the quests and the respawning of enemies.

You actually can't pause that game. Since his character is always in the center, maybe he's mashing the screenshot button during the action and going back and picking the best shots?

Also, a lot of waste to go through. After I've played for a couple of hours I look at my screenshotfolder and there are 10 gigs+ of 1440p bmp's to look over (1000+ pics), sometimes there is not one single good screenshot among them.
Obviously better shots with proper framing and composition can be made using tools like camera/FOV/timestop etc. but I didn't even look for it, I'm not in the mood for setting up screenshots as this can be very time consuming and the game is massive enough as it is, probably costs me 100 hours, I'm already 70 hours at it.
The area in and around Novigrad looks great with it. White Orchard as well. Skellige is interesting. Rest (Kaer Morhen, Velen, interiors) I do not like.

I've been using that costume exclusively since I downloaded it. It fits so damn well with everything else.
It may seem that way because they put so much effort into animations. They're all silky smooth with little to no compromises.
