By the way, the microids card thing is such bullshit. In every one of the rows there's a super rare card. I have repeats of every card, yet none of the rows is complete. The real giveaway are the instant keys you get on your email.

I was about to post the same thing. It's all rigged.

This is a scheduled automated repost on behalf of Armoured Priest, who is running this raffle.

i'm confused at lords of the fallen

some enemies randomly have like 3x the hp and deal like 3x the dmg but they're like the exact same enemy just in a different section of the level or in a different area but like, it's the same fucking enemy -__-

it feels pretty bullshitty cos you just have to avoid those areas cos they're impossible

Control+F "Shadownet" = 0 result

*disappointed*

I'm an almost married man, sorry.

My cat, on the other hand, she's on sale provided you have an offer titillating enough.

I've got a bubblegum wrapper in my pocket.

Is that good enough?

If not, I'll let you have it for... Say, Dragons Dogemah?

Dayum - next month is gonna hurt my wallet!

Disgaea for PC
Gravity Rush Remaster for PS4
Fire Emblem Fates for 3DS

and of course Final Fantasy IX for PC....

I'm still waiting for a official release date for FFIX on Steam -__-.

This microid card game makes me want to give negative reviews to all their games on steam. Just a massive waste of everyones time, and it's rigged.

yea i think im gonna drop lords of the fallen

it might be inspired by dark souls but it's really not satisfying to play in the slightest and walking to an enemy and not knowing if it's gonna one shot me because the developers figured they didn't want me walking in this direction just sucks

what a weird game

DS does that to though?
Like you don't down the stairs when you start dark.

I played some more SOMA last night. Decided against the mod that'd make the monsters non-hostile, though I remain convinced that they're not the stars of the show. It's very weird that a sci-fi horror game would prove to have a far more engaging story and atmosphere than the monsters and 'direct' horror elements. The existential horror that the entire game is infused with is far more terrifying than any monster. I do like the monster designs, but the game would be just as good if not better without their presence.

I've gone through the first part of Theta now, and had this amazing moment happen to me, which made me stop and think about what I was doing and what option to take for a good twenty minutes. Spoilers obviously.

So to progress in the game you're required to obtain a security cypher, which can only be gotten by asking someone. This being SOMA, there's not exactly anyone around to talk to, so you end up having to find a brain scan of a person's consciousness and upload it into a simulation, then convince this 'person' to give you the code. So the simulation has to be fairly accurate. After you get the code from him, you're left with a choice, to either switch off the simulation or let it continue.

It's this that stumped me and left me pondering what I'd do. It may be a bit philosophical but I love that stuff in sci-fi. It's going right to the core of what makes SOMA so great. You have this brain scan of a person's consciousness and you've uploaded it to a virtual world, convincing enough that he'd tell his virtual partner a security code. That was your goal, so you yourself have no further need of the simulation. But for the person inside the simulation, well that's his reality. He's as much a conscious being as the main character is. So would switching off the simulation be murder. Is it murder though if that entire level of reality disappears instantly and painlessly at the flick of a switch? And is it a life worth living? The quality of the simulated reality wouldn't stand up to scrutiny, and through your actions it'd be clear to the person inside that reality that his reality is a virtual one. Would that even matter though, if your reality is 'false'?

I just ran through all the philosophical ramifications in my mind for a good while, eventually I had to get up and go walk around the house to think about it. I was very impressed with that kind of choice. I mean, the whole uploading of consciousnesses and simulated reality has been explored in a wide variety of other mediums, but SOMA's proving to be a great example of that exploration in a video game. Surprising that I'd enjoy a game about ghostly consciousnesses in the robot shells.

the thing here is, dark souls does this with two different areas and two different enemy types

you go to the graveyard and there's a bunch of skellies that one shot you. ok, guess i'll go up the cliffside then. you run into some hollows, which are much easier, and progress through the game. in undead burg there's a couple black knights that can rekk your shit if you mess with them but they're in secluded areas that it's easy for them to leash back to.

now picture this: in lords of the fallen you have two snowy ruins paths to choose from, not two different areas, but literally two hallways. on each side there's a corrupted-looking heavy metal knight. the one in the left path does 3x as much dmg as the one on the right and there's nothing to tell them apart

it's really frustrating because instead of feeling like you're exploring a level and discovering things as you progress and finding the right path on your own, here it's like you're trying to figure out which path the developers want you to go through right now, so you check one, die to unjustifiably stronger enemy, then go through the other one.

like, i completed the first "side quest" in the game and i got a key to some catacombs. i enter the catacombs and everyone there two shots me. i guess this reward for completing this side quest isn't meant to be used right now!

Ok that's understandable.

Ah I've just got to the first time you can access the Rift and go scout out some pawns and it just dawned on me that when you check out who their creator is it displays their characters name not their Steam username. Now it's a doddle to workiut who I am as in fitting Dragon's Dogma tradition my character is always named Ser Dogg or some variant. But filter by friends then going through who gets summond and checking their creator to compare against my friends list half the time leads me to drawing blanks. Trying to workout who Kyrnack, Rage, Vexxys, Ehnn Zhed etc are is more hassle than it's worth.

Edit: Thankfully I'm thick as two short planks and forgot it does show username when using the Riftstone to search.

So first recruits to join the gruesome gaggle are Rhaknar's and Dsyndrome's pawns. I'll try not to get the duffed up and send them back with some decent quest experience and if they don't jabber on I might give them a decent parting gift.

REmake, especially since there's a twist in there.
Though you probably already know about it if you have followed the series.

If you mean
Lisa Trevor
yes, if you mean something else, then no.

By the way if anyone is interested in pawn trading you can add "Teggygah". Assuming the game lets me play past the tutorial next time I try.

Well off to a great start. Whilst escorting a specific NPC back you want to make sure you follow through their questline, end up getting ambushed by a pack of wolves and then that alerts a pack of goblins and stupidly I did this at night and before I spent my discipline points so I'm effectively level 1. Would have been a cake walk if Rhaknar's pawn wasn't busy rummaging through some boxes looking for carrots and what not while the rest if the party were getting battered. And then after the fighting had ceased does she decide to heal us all up. You can keep those bloody carrots you found.

Hello good people! I just finished 9 Clues: The Secret of Serpent Creek and thought of giving my very small impressions.

Steam review: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198043835726/recommended/284870

In 9 Clues: The Secret of Serpent Creek you play as a detective that drove to a town called Serpent Creek in order to help Helen, a friend who is also a reporter. During the story you are going to witness odd things that you can’t really explain while also meet strange characters who speak in an odd way or just show a strange behavior.

In order to advance in the story you will have to get certain items weather to unlock doors, cut fences or disable some switches. To get these objects you must play a classic hidden object mini-game every now and then or you may have to solve puzzles who may test your intellect but in the end you won’t have to struggle much to understand them. It is possible to choose the difficulty setting to your liking so that you can go through the game without worrying about penalties if you click on the wrong object for instance. Contrary to what the creator states in the “Features” page of the game, the game really gives you a big clue of who is the bad guy and who’s not so don’t mind the “Breathtaking plot full of unexpected twists” because the plot is really easy to follow and it’s really obvious about the main villain.

If you want some light-gaming experience and you like to solve mysteries, with some side puzzles, the game can offer you around 2-3 hours if you play at a normal rate. There’s no replay value unless you missed some clues and want to go back and start again in order to find them all.

I stopped playing around the 90% mark. The game kept crashing randomly, I got a glitched magic trinket (thanks for no patch), and the boss I'm on really sucks. It's a Souls game without the Soul. It's not good at all.

I recently beat that too, I'm on kind of an Artifex Mundi binge right now, just finished all those Nightmares from the Deep games too. They're good for what they are, like you say the time it takes to beat them isn't too long, which makes them ideal to pick up on a boring evening.
